I start to pay attention to recruiting after the season is over. The season hasn't even started. I'm just happy all those offers are in one thread.
I have no idea when this years first commit was? I'll say after the scoreboard gets refurbished. I think that's a safe bet. I remember November commits from Ohio last year. -------------------- ![]() "One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotings"--Diogenes of Sinope |

We'll get one when we start offering kids who don't already have ten BCS offers.
Failing that, we might see a verbal commitment or two by September. I always hear about recruits wanting to get it out of the way so they can focus on their senior season, and I hope the Zips benefit once or twice from that mentality. |

I voted Aug 1 - Aug 15. Gird your loins for some knock your socks off commits during this time span. (P.S. girding your loins rarely is a successful way to prevent your socks from being knocked off)

For reference, I found Dylan Brumbaugh committed on July 2 last year. I think there was someone early, since this thread was entitled "Akron gets 3rd verbal of 2011"

For reference, I found Dylan Brumbaugh committed on July 2 last year. I think there was someone early, since this thread was entitled "Akron gets 3rd verbal of 2011" Last year our first commitment came on March 19th from DB Bryce Cheek. The second verbal was reported on June 2nd from C John Clay Jr. |
