Michigan cornerback, J.T. Turner, a Massillon native who had a chance to start this season, has asked for and was granted his release in order to transfer.
Where is he headed? |

If only the article hinted at a return to OH and a spot on the Akron squad. Wow, 5 star recruit would be nice, yet very unlikely. -------------------- Go Zips.

We need to get on this guy and play the "home" angle. Of course, he might have been friends with Devoe Torrence, who likely has nothing good to say about us.

If he comes back to Ohio it will probably be to UC.

If he comes back to Ohio it will probably be to UC. If he was leaving bc he was too far away from home, he wouldn't go to UC, which would be further away from home than Michigan... -------------------- Fear The Roo

He got started late and is low on the depth chart at UM. It has more to do with that than it does distance. I would love to see him at UA though. So, I hope I'm wrong. -------------------- Half Buck, Half Zip, All Man.

Here's another article about the transfer, complete with destination speculation (hey, I think I'll trademark that) in the comments.
Link It appears Justin has grown some to 6'3", 200 LB. I think the angle UA should take is as follows: 1) Come and play closer to home (a given). 2) In the year you have to sit out, UA's stength and conditioning coaches will enable you to efficently fill out your frame. 3) You will be an absolute TERROR as a linebacker or safety in the MAC, garnering PLENTY of attention from NFL scouts. Think Brian Urlacher as a safety at New Mexico, but with more speed! -------------------- "Build it, and they can't tear it down.......not for a good 15-20 years anyway."

Here's another article about the transfer, complete with destination speculation I read Pitt on other sites also. I read Auburn on one too.It doesn't surprise me that I don't know this since I hate the Big Ten and don't watch it, but this is interesting: QUOTE Options to transfer are limited in the Big Ten. The conference has rules against inter-conference transfers. They are allowed, but the player is not permitted to sign a second Big Ten scholarship. In other words, Turner would have to be a walk-on at another Big Ten school. Wonder if Bubba knew that? -------------------- ![]() "One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotings"--Diogenes of Sinope |

Buckzip, the guy who wrote this article needs to talk with you. He thinks the wolverines are thin at cornerback and that the kid was in contention for a starting spot. low on a thin chart |
