Who's the fat kid on The Simpsons who laughs HaHa so snarkily at Bart all the time? That's how I felt watching that pathetic excuse for a Bowl Game last night. I only checked in briefly last night, but quickly noted the lopsided score, HORRID field conditions (maybe should have moved the game to Lakeside Field in Evanston!) and overall lack of any appeal for the casual viewer and changed the channel.
To Ball State and its fans I say HaHa! Here's hoping you stay down where you belong, far below the Zips in the standings, in all sports. GO ZIPS! SeeTeeZipper |

It won't be too long before I start to wax nostalgic for the troughs of yesteryear

It won't be too long before I start to wax nostalgic for the troughs of yesteryear Actually .. can't you have troughs AND have a clean, heated restroom? I've always felt that troughs made for a more efficient men's room .. from a throughput perspective. -------------------- In case you missed it: The glory years for Zips hoops are NOW .. and they've just begun.

Ah yes ... a lazy yellow river with cigarette butts sailing calmly and serenely by ... kinda like the Cuyahoga River during the hottest part of the summer. Seems like a 'Trough' topic should be created and pinned ... -------------------- Back in the late-1860s & early in the process of selecting a site for a new school that would eventually become The University of Akron ...

I always enjoyed the bi-annual "Painting-o-the-Trough." The Rubber Bowl is the only place in the world where someone would try to paint porcelain. It looked great...for the home opener, but it didn't hold up too well after that. Wonder what Glidden would have said if the Facilities Manager would have tried to make a warranty claim on the obviously defective, peeled paint?

While the Carrier Dome is no spring chicken, her troughs are fabricated from neat and clean sheets of glorious stainless steel. It's a perfect marriage of form and function, one that I imagine Tim "the tool man" Taylor would heartily endorse Oh, and Cap'n.....the fresh paint always gave me goose bumps too. Looking back, they probably should have opted for an "off white" instead of white though -------------------- "Build it, and they can't tear it down.......not for a good 15-20 years anyway."

Went to a sports bar in Lexington KY called Varsity Blue. At the bottom of each urinal they had affixed a picture of Rick Pitino's face.
