Why doesn't Akron play Y-town State on the regular. Penguin fans travel in force and would probably fill the Info with increased community interest.

I think the only way they would play us is if we would agree to a home and home series. We would have nothing to gain by playing in Y-town. |

I would be infuriated if we ever agreed to play a 1-AA on the road. And if that's what Y-town wants in order to strike a deal on a series of games with us, I sure hope we never have any leadership that agrees to do this.

We won't play YSU until we're good enough to actually beat them. For the past 2 decades we have been on the same playing field as YSU despite more scholarships. Hopefully the new coach gets us hands down better than them. But if we played YSU yearly we would be .500 against them. It would be stupid.
I know some of you will make fun of me, but I'm just a realist. Some of you need to understand our football program isn't ll that. |
