I grabbed some new pictures of the stadium. I tried to focus on getting shots that we haven't seen before.

Also, while I was walking around, I noticed that the scoreboard and ribbonboard were lit up and flushing lights, in some kind of rapid test pattern. Looked like something out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

I didn't grab any pictures of the new parking deck being built, but I have to say that it will be massive. Twice as big as any other parking deck currently on campus.

Here's the link to my album: http://zipsnation.org/forums//index.php?au...um&album=34

Thanks for the great pictures. It looks like they are doing construction all over campus, is that true?

Campus construction is limited to a few places. They just replaced a good chunk of sidewalk going from the north quad to EJ Thomas. They're doing something to the road at EJ, but I couldn't see what it was. They dug up a chunk of pipe by the Korean War memorial, but that section of pipe has been replaced almost yearly now for a while. The dorms behind the stadium and the new parking dek are the main areas of construction. They're replacing the sidewalk on Spicer along the dorms, which will be nice when the crowds show up for games. The parking deck didn't fit into my camera frame no matter where I tried to take a picture from. It's just gigantic.

The next batch of construction might not start for a while. That includes the soccer field and finishing Coleman Commons, tearing down Memorial Hall and putting another building there, and building another Polymer building on the north end of campus next to the Wonder Bread factory.

Well, it's about time my favorite former basketball coach was honored for his contribution! biggrin.gif
