Sad...very sad. If he would have spent his time studying instead of stuff like this he probably could have been a decent student with a chance to play football later in life. I'm guessing the time he should have been in the weight room and library was spent up to no good. Hate to see things like this, but glad he didn't end up here and put a stain like this on the program.

What a waste. The only positive in his life was football. Who knows how far he could have gone if he had gotten away from his old hood and off to a school somewhere with the right conditions to encourage his growth, though Fork Union didn't work out. Even under the best of conditions, he still might not have made it. Some kids just get dug into a deep hole from an early age that no one can ever help them climb out of.

I took a lot of abuse in the original Howard thread, but I will say now is: You can take the boy out of the hood, but you can't take the hood out of the boy. A very sad story from the beginning.

Besides, he couldn't hold Chisholm's jock strap. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe he was living with a coach from North Canton but had grown up in a much rougher area. Anyone else remember reading that? It's a shame for any human being to be a wasted life like that. I guess I can never comprehend the, "You have something that I want so I'll take it from you by force" mentality. Work hard. At least he would have had a chance to build relationships with a school, and maybe create a good foundation in his life if he had stayed with his original commitment.
