I'm interested in watching the replay of the game on Wednesday night. NFL Replay is probably one of the greatest things on tv for fans of the NFL. Listening to NFL Sirius Radio, Pat Kerwin is saying that James might have got hit in the crotch to create the reaction that he had. Pat was on the forty yard line at the time. Here is the punch to the back of his shoulder pad, looks like the flags actually come in from the big push to the chest after the punch. ![]() Thanks for posting the videos DrZ. Especially the video of the loser Browns fan at the Christmas Eve blow out. Watching that never gets old. I was at that game and stayed until the last second ticked off. I sat in the club section and my wife and I were the only two people left in our entire section when the last second ticked off. What we see on this video is not cause for a multiple game suspension or even an ejection. Rough play? Yes. Penalty worthy? Yes. The real fine should be for the punter who ran around the goings on like a scared little girl. As far as I am concerned, #47 is a little bitch for allowing himself to be abused like that. The only thing missing was him falling into the UFC male on male sex position. It takes a special kind of coward to hit a man while he's down. No matter who your favorite team is you cant deny that. It sort of reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBgyvFRBkDU The saddest part is the fact that the guy who stepped on Budinger was getting high fives from his teammates. Pretty scary how little class is shown. At least the Steelers are professional enough to acknowledge that what Harriosn did was wrong, right?? -------------------- |

the only difference is he was immediately ejected from the game for it.
That and he stepped on another players face. Repeatedly hitting a guy while he's down isnt as offensive as stepping on a player's face. -------------------- .13

What happened in the Houston game is MUCH worse than what Harrison did, but where do you draw the line? I guess that's all I'm saying. -------------------- |

Stepping on a guys FACE in BASKETBALL...after the whistle? You can do better.
I know not many people watch the pro bowl anymore, but did anybody happen to catch Warner explaining the interception/TD to Harrison yesterday before the game? Harrison didn't have one, not one, word to say to him. He looked like he wanted to sack him while he was telling the story. The dude is put together different than most. Every twenty years some linebacker spirit takes over a Ken+ linebacker and sends him to the Steelers. Weird. First time in history 3 MAC QB's get SB rings in one game???? -------------------- ![]() "One original thought is worth a thousand mindless quotings"--Diogenes of Sinope |

All of this talk of Can't state thuggery makes me wonder why there isn't a pinned thread just discussing and taking amusement in the frequent occurrences of felonies in Can't athletics.

It sort of reminds me of this: Looked to me like Harrison was doing his job. The play is still going on in the background and Harrison is aggressively blocking his man during the play. With the exception of the punch (and a lame punch at that), it looks to be a legal play to me. Harrison gets paid to play football from whistle to whistle. His job is to block #47 during that time period. #47's job is to get up off of the ground and run down the field to tackle the guy that plays on Harrison's team. One guy did his job, the other guy failed at his job. It's the NFL, not some pee wee league where everyone gets a chance and nice guys do indeed finish first. The NFL is a league for savage beasts who get paid to savagely beat up on the guys they are playing against. Harrison understands that. He is the savage beast every team wishes they had. -------------------- "...you want it to be one way. But it's the other way." --Marlo Stanfield, The Wire

All of this talk of Can't state thuggery makes me wonder why there isn't a pinned thread just discussing and taking amusement in the frequent occurrences of felonies in Can't athletics. Our smack forum is sadly under-utilized. apparently, considering i did not know about it til just now. I still think we could be fine with a more specific one. How about just a "Cant state felons" forum? There would be 5 or 6 posts per day keeping up with all the law breaking going on. -------------------- |
