Heard that the Zips may have a walk-on replacement for Oldham -- Darius Hoisten, a 6-5 forward out of Garfield HS. Hoisten averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds a game his senior season. Don't know anything about him other than that he has been seen in open practices with the Zips. If true, welcome aboard, Darius!

We used to play them back when we were a Div II independent.
They were usually pretty good. |

I used to live in Erie and Gannon is a decent D2 school, member of the PSAC. They made a nice run a few year back and I believe they were close to the final 4. Jodi Kest actually coached their women's team before being hired by UA. Similar to the commuter school UA used to be, just about 1/5 the size. You really don't get a sense of being on campus, just seemed like a few buildings mixed in with normal downtown businesses. Small gym that seats about 3000, but are usually one of the top 1-2 teams in the conference as far as attendance. -------------------- It's okay....we'll be better next year

I can't find any internet reference to CJ transferring to Gannon. If it's not on the internet, it can't be true.
