In the spread offense you're probably looking for speed and shiftiness from your RB, which probably aren't Snowball's strong suits.

When I think spread offense (Oregon, WVU, the real OSU) I think of running backs more in the mold of David Jones, from whom we've received a verbal. (Check out his moves!)

Athleticism wins college games. If the kid doesn't have enough, he doesn't get a scholarship. Also, giving a kid at a school a scholarship to make up for a decision a past coach made isn't a good reason to get a scholarship. Not many compelling reasons to give this kid a scholarship.

I wasn't implying Bowden should give him a scholarship just because of what Ianello did. I was critical before of Ianello under-appreciating Schrock and was being a homer. Essentially, I meant that it would make it up to me...and Wadsworth. It was an entirely facetious comment.

As far as athleticism, Snowball has plenty. He could make it in the MAC and his attitude and hustle would be a great asset to any team. So i'm not saying he would be a star, but he sure as hell is worth a scholarship with so much of an upside and little risk (other than the injuries that are 100% healed and non issues from what i've heard).

He ran a 4.57 at an OSU camp last summer. And the Suburban League does not put you up against the holy rollers and the big recruiting public schools.

The injury in his junior year doesn't help either. Reference Tressel cooling on Anthony Schrock and him falling to the MAC.

There's still the chance to walk-on a MAC school, before going all-in with Mount U.

I was just talking with Jack's mother, and of course he has no problem with Ashland, Walsh or Wayne State all after him, but Bowling Green has been on him and last evening Miami of Ohio made a visit to his home. He is visiting Miami of Ohio this weekend. Apparently there is now some OU interest also.

What if Terry doesn't feel he's the right fit for the team? Not saying that's the case, but I'm hoping that everyone gives the new staff a little credit for knowing what they need for their offense/defense...

Not that at all. I don't want to face him.

Just like I don't like it when Andy Sonnanstine pitches against the Tribe. confused.gif

Good for him. I hope he has a good career, just never plays well against the Zips.
