I am currently a sophomore, majoring in Graphic Design here at the University of Akron. I'm sure some people have seen some of my work here on this site, in the uniforms thread and other areas. I'm just looking for any information about getting an internship in the marketing dept. for the 2009-2010 school year. If anyone here has any information about someone I can contact, anything will help...

March 23 - April 17 12:00 am - 12:00 am spacer image spacer image spacer image spacer image The University Of Akron Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is looking for hardworking, dedicated individuals who are interested in a career in sports marketing and thus would like to be a part of the 2009-2010 University of Akron Sports Marketing Internship program for the summer of 2009 or the 2009-2010 academic year. I did intern in the athletic department but it was in the media relations area. I was in the School of Communication and they had an internship program where they would help look for an internship for you in the area you wish to go. I wanted to be in the sports area either for a newspaper, magazine, etc and they managed to have me intern in the athletic department. It's for college credit. I don't know if your particular school offers an internship program, but check to see. I enjoyed working in Akron Athletics, so if you have the chance to work there, do it. Good luck to you.
