After finishing last season at number 25, the Zips are number 8 in the initial Mid-Major Top 25 Poll:
http://www.midmajortop25.com/ No other MAC team makes the list, nor does CSU although both are close at 27 (CSU) and 29 (Can't State). |

A few observations:
1. Should I be as surprised as I am to see Wright State ranked so highly? 2. The A-10 is not considered a mid-major conference by this poll. I suppose I'd agree with that. 3. The MAC is not well represented at all. After Akron and Can't, Buffalo follows (way down the list), followed by Miami (way, way down the list) and Central Michigan (way, way, way down the list Lol). 4. Anyone else remember the days (not too long ago) when we were thrilled by simply being mentioned with the other "others receiving votes" schools? NC State is not a good team. They will be lucky to have a winning record this year.

I know exactly how you feel! 10-4 is what I expect, but hopefully we can pull a win from either NC State or Texas A&M. I think it just depends on how fast the team progresses. |
