Hmmm...Leftover money. Is 8 million enough to put chair-back seats all the way around JAR Arena?

Maybe it's enough to put the ribbon all around the Info. or finish Coleman Commons That would be nice, but I think it's going towards a major renovation of Bierce Library. Most of the construction is currently happening in "behind the scenes" areas at the moment, but once that's done I think they'll move on to the main areas. |

In this day and age I don't see the value brought about by a library. Not that the library doesn't need revamped, but they better make it something completely different because a library seems less and less valuable in the connected global society we live in.

The library today is mostly used as a large study area with some books. It's a place you can study with friends and classmates away from the noise and chaos of the student union. You can also borrow textbooks from there, if you don't feel like buying them. It also has the most available computers for student use. There's an A/V room, a very large tutoring area, a coffee shop, and a walk-in tech support desk. Bierce has books, sure, but that's only a small subset of services it provides for students. |

They should move some of the stacks into a back area and consolidate to save space. Have a student employee retrieve books if a student requests one of the lesser used books in to be stored in the back. |

And you can only read them in-house for 2 hours at a time. I have had them brought in from other schools through OhioLink, but one I was three days late returning and wound up with a $50.00+ fine. The whole textbook thing is a sore subject for me... -------------------- My level of sarcasm is to the point where I don't even know if I'm kidding or not

They should use it to pay for all the Rowdies to go to the College Cup.
