Two more NLIs are in ... James Price, 6-2, 285, DT from Woodland Hills High School in Woodland, Pa. ... Zach Paul, a 6-4, 205, P/K from Padua High in Broadview Heights, Ohio.

11:03 a.m. ET
An overlooked aspect of National Signing Day is that a recruit has to fax their national letter of intent to us before we can announce they have signed. That is easier said than done on a day like today, when high schools around the region are closed due to the massive winter storm which has affected much of the country and been brutal to the midwest and northeast. Some of the high school coaches of our signees have gone to great lengths to get to a fax machine this morning.

10:59 a.m. ET
Isaiah Williams, 6-3, 250, DE from John Adams High School in Cleveland; and Justin March, 6-0, 207 LB from Danville HS in Danville, Ill., bring the signing class to 20.

It's nice to see James Price listed at 6'2", 285 LB (as opposed to the earlier reports of 6'1", 260 LB).

Possible catch phrase for this class: The Price is Right? confused.gif

Not signed, but posted on Twitter by the player himself: Marlon Worthington, a Glenville DB, is coming to Akron. He might be a walk-on.

HB Nick Rossi, Riverside JSHS, Taylor, PA - Signed.

An audible sigh of relief was heard coming from the football stadium.

Now we're at 23 signees. Assuming that Zach Paul greyshirts, that leaves three spots.

Still waiting on ATH Jabari Thomas.

Ianello's twitter announcing the creation of a "12th man non-scholarship program". Zach Paul will be the first member of said program. Perhaps it's a new method of finding preferred walk-ons?

The letter of intent of from Nick Rossi, a highly-touted 6-0, 230, FB/LB, from Riverside High in Moosic, Pa., just came across the fax.

Glad to see the staff still considers him a possibility on either side of the ball.

I like the photos they posted. I can see a good "title this photo" thread on a slow ZN day. biggrin.gif

No new LOIs have come in for quite some time.

Akron's national championship men's soccer team is expected to announce its signing class next week. In case you missed it, the program had seven players drafted in last month's MLS SuperDraft.

12:10 p.m. ET
Remember, today isn't just National Signing Day for football. The women's soccer staff is going through the same thing today as is the football program. Check out this blog about women's soccer signees.

11:45 a.m. ET
YouTube interviews with head coach Rob Ianello and members of his staff are coming and will be posted on this page throughout the afternoon. Stay tuned.

So we have had no surprises today....pretty disappointing if you ask me. On the flip side we've had highly touted classes that did nothing so maybe we'll get the opposite here. Still have a hard time with losing recruits to lower leve schools - pathetic!

What big talent do you think we lost to a lower level school? I thought AJ Price was a nice surprise. I like his yard per catch average. Looks to be a stretch the field type player.

Same JUCO as Vinnie Rizzo.

Only verbal who didn't sign was ATH Jabari Thomas. Two surprise JUCOs at positions of need was a nice thing.
