Since moving to San Antonio, Florida, I've gotten to see very little Zips soccer. Just a game on tv. I missed the Lady Zips playing USF and I am still bummed I wasn't there to cheer them on.

So my question is easy for you diehards. Is there any scenario where Akron will have to play South Florida during the championship tournament?

Actually... If they did it then the game would probably not be located in the state of Florida. But I would still wear my goal patrol shirt at cub cadet PITCH. I am Sam Cherry

I don't think anyone can predict NCAA Tourney matchups, especially at this time. The sure thing, as I believe someone else mentioned in a different thread, would be for you to make the 2.5 hour (?) drive this Sunday down to Boca Raton. The defending National Champion Zips are at Florida Atlantic U. at 2 pm on this Sunday (Nov 6th). I'm uncertain of the exact drive time, but the game time is such that you can do it roundtrip in a day.

Only way the Zips meet USF is in the College Cup. I'd be OK with that. Good news for you is that would occur in Alabama so you might be able to make it.

yeah, just looked at the bracket. well, still glad to be seeing the zips in some post-season action. even if it won't be live. i am thinking there is going to be a lot of head turners and early exits for highly ranked teams this year.

GO ZIPS!!!!!

Last year, being in CA was impossible. If Akron is going to be representing in Alabama, I am going to be there representing with em!
