Actually about Commack, a lot of players who have already graduated and have an extra year of eligibility dont necessarily get athletic scholarships do they? On OSU boards when Wagner was of interest, they said they wouldnt have to burn a scholly on him, but just give him some academic scholarships instead.
I would be thankful if somebody can confirm whether he is coming or not. Very curious. -------------------- |

It should be quite the interesting QB competition in 2012. I wish I could hear/watch what AJ Milwee has to say about it, but video/audio is blocked on this computer Steve Franco Pos: QB Height: 6-2 Weight: 185 Hometown: Tyrone, Pa. High School: Tyrone Senior HS at Tyrone Senior HS: Associated Press Class AA Player of the Year as a senior ... compiled a 26-3 record as a starter over the past two seasons … led Golden Eagles (9-1) to a district championship and the state finals as a senior … threw for more than 2,600 yards and 30 touchdowns with a 57-percent pass completion percentage and rushed for 10 TDs as well … recorded more than 4,500 yards and 49 touchdowns and 300 for his career. Coached by: John Franco, his father, who was the Associated Press Class AA Coach of the Year for 2011.. Personal: Parents are John and Sue Franco … was coached by his father in high school … brother, Johnny, is a strong safety and team captain at Indiana University (Pa.). This looks promising. Anybody know what sort of system he played in? Brother at IUP. Can't be all bad. -------------------- [SIZE=7][FONT=Geneva] ziptex

This looks promising. Anybody know what sort of system he played in? Brother at IUP. Can't be all bad. Brother initially played at West Point for two seasons and transferred. It was a multiple style offense, he did a little bit of everything, but spent most of the time under center in pro style sets with at least one tight end on the field, but the team had enough weapons to spread it out. This Tyrone team was very balanced and could do a lot of things well with Franco leading the offense despite the lack of size up front. I've said it on other threads, but Akron's got themselves a stud at QB if he transitions ok. |
