Anyone notice they showed the Akron football stadium this morning on the Today show? The news was about telemarketers contracting from charities for business. It did not put telemarketing companies in the best light when doing this since they were receiving 75%+ of the revenue and less than 25% went to the charity. A representative of one charity said she did not have a problem with this however. My only issue is when someone asked one of these telemarketers (who I do not believe was InfoCision) how much the charity received the telemarketers flipped the numbers and claimed the charity got 75% when in fact it was the telemarketing company that did.
InfoCision was highlighted in the story and the reason they showed our football stadium was because they said InfoCision is doing pretty well to be able to pay for the naming rights of a stadium.

I went to Johnny Malloys today and it was a sea of scarlet and grey. At first I was shocked - Is this Columbus I wondered? Then I remembered how Ohio is full of OSU homers. What really pissed me off is that of the servers/bartenders most of them wore OSU garb and not a single one wore Zips garb. Some of them had other shirts that were not with either team at least.
After watching the game there I had 2 thoughts:
1) I will never pull for OSU again (I used to pull for them against Michigan or if they were in the National Title.)
2) I hate OSU and hope some day we can beat them.

Since the NIT now takes the conference winner if not selected to the NIT, the MAC needs to either go back to one division or at least play a balanced schedule. Akron only got to play Toledo at Toledo, and Toledo played most of their games against the weaker west. Maybe Toledo would have still won the division, but I would prefer they would have had to earn it by playing every team from both the East and West twice. And who knows years from now the shoe might be on the other foot with the west being strong and the east being weak.
Another thought - why did we have Duquesne on Monday 2/26? Miami of Ohio only had to play 2 games (3/1 & 3/4) the week before the tournament, Akron had 3 (2/26, 3/1, & 3/4). Maybe that explains why we seemed to be the more tired team at the end of the MAC Championship game.
