I know i am stating the obvious, but we need players. Watching the team these last three years, we really lack size, talent, and speed. Our interior lines get knocked off the ball, and teams run on us at will. Most of the MAC teams noticibly have better talent than us. It is simple, coaches need to recruit size and speed, and build depth.

I hope Coach Bowden and staff recruits heavy on the offensive and defensive lines. I noticed that we have been getting pushed around and getting dominated in line play. Akron's O-line and D-line seemed smaller in size compared to most of other MAC Big Boys. If we can control the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball, it is a good foundation for success.

Hello fellow Zip fans. I am new to the Zipsnation family. I want to welcome coach Bowden and his staff. I feel with our facilities, there is no reason why we cannot turn this thing around. I want to experience an other 2005 MAC Championship season. That seems like a long time ago. I think in a couple years of quality recruiting from Coach Bowden and his staff another MAC champinship or at least a Bowl game (6 wins) is possible.
