  1. I was tailgating before the game and had several people tell me that Burkhart was listed as doubtful due to a hamstring injury. I don’t know where that information is posted but I guess I assumed that fans were aware. I was actually surprised because it looked like they were going to put him in right before the half. It wouldn’t make sense to risk further aggravating the injury instead of resting so he can return next week. I don’t know anything about Kato’s status but I hope he is ok for Saturday.

  2. you come on here slinging stuff at people, have your opinion i don’t care but don’t speak for me, i speak for myself. You want to have a debate or speak to me about something let’s talk but that was just an ignorant statement

  3. If it was injury related, I'm going to guess he was a game time decision and was healthy enough to play if absolutely needed. If that was the scenario, I'd say his odds of playing this week would appear to be pretty high.

  4. Sounds like Danny has "worn out his welcome at Bushwood". Anyways, I like this game for Akron. I hope Burkhart plays - the kid is electric.

  5. A 1200 word essay on why Larry Williams sucks is hard to ignore! I just love it when a person with an agenda goes at it on an anonymous DISCUSSION forum with a zeal that indicates they think it will make a difference.

  6. 94, calm down man. My guess is that Danny dip-sh*t has been on this board for a long time. Since we have tired of his negativity under his old identity, he just registered under a new ID. If we just ignore him, maybe he will just go away!

  7. No disrespect meant to any of our players. I am sure they are all working their butts off and doing their best. I never said Corne did not have the physical attributes to play OL. I do not know where that came from. I just do not think he is performing as well as he should be given all those accolades and experience that you mentioned. That, coupled with our RT also struggling makes running the ball and protecting our QB very difficult to accomplish. As far as the obviousness of my comment about height and weight, maybe its obvious to a football guru like yourself but others on this forum may find it informational especially when we are currently undersized at RT and with some of our 2's waiting in the wings. At the end of the day, we all want the same thing. How we get there is up for debate. Have a good day. Go Zips!!

  8. Wow Danny, you sure have started out with a bang. A new thread, 5 post, 1220+ word treatise on why Larry Williams sucks. Unfortunately, you lost 90% of the readers about a hundred words in. You should put it all in letter format and send it on the school president and/or board of trustees.

  11. I heard that, I think that changed when they hired Spuds. Hopefully they'll have a strong speller proofread their press releases...
