  1. What a fantastic pickup. I posted many times that we need to sign 2 experienced OL and we got Banes and Whigan. All of our returning offensive linemen were So or R-So, and with the covid year, this would have been their 3rd or 4th year, so there is no youth excuses. We have experience and with the good freshmen signings and Banes and Whigan to bridge the gap, the offensive line should be a strength for years to come. In Joe We Trust!!!!!

  2. That some student-athletes choose to transfer isn’t news in college sports. What is proving interesting, however, is that UA’s Joe Moorhead possesses the influence, gravitas, whatever some will want to call it, to bring in athletes from Power 5 schools. It’s becoming evident very quickly that Moorhead and his staff, all comprised of individuals who either played or coached at Power 5 schools at some point, have some powerful ties to those conferences.

  4. I think I heard the spring game is in the field house, and not in the Info. Anyone confirm? I'm sure there will be people showing up at the Info and wondering whats going on if they don't see anything if so.

  5. He was a 2021 graduate so I don’t think he ever went to BC

  6. Does Moorhead use a full back? TE to FB is usually a seamless transition. Or if we're really feeling bold we could move the most athletic one to LB

  7. Re Lawson: he was one of the higher rated recruits in Arth’s initial class, but I believe he’s been oft injured throughout his career. I was wondering who that #10 was at first. Here’s to hoping he ends up being a pleasant surprise.

  8. My thinking is if you can upgrade, do it. I trust Coach Joe. May be bias but with grandkids at both St Ed's and Hoban I am close to both, and talent is not scarce there. Not real likely but wow if we could get Kilbane. What a motor this kid has. GO ZIPS. Hoping for Kilbane

  9. There's no perfect spot for this, but our old friend Dru Joyce is moving on from CSU. He interviewed for the head job and was offered a spot on the new staff but apparently has been offered an assistant job with a bigger program.

  10. Freeman just won MAC DPOY. I'd say he is that player you're referring to. I'd say 5 and guard are the positions we're most set at. I'd be thrilled if we can add a 6'5-6'7 wing who can run the floor and guard multiple positions. Groce pretty much always runs a lineup of 3 guards, 1 SF playing PF, and 1 big.

  11. I think Groce has proven to us that he will adjust to what he has on the roster. He doesn't have a position based system; he adjusts the system to the talent he has. The reality is that mid-majors do not generally get top notch big men. As a result, Groce's teams and the MAC in general have been guard driven. In the end, Groce is going to bring in the best talent he can, whether it's a 5'7" transfer guard or a 7 foot African post player and adapt the system to the roster.
