Average PPG differential in MAC play: -3.75. A field goal. The 2021 Northern Illinois Huskies were MAC champions by winning closely nearly every week in MAC play. The 2022 Akron Zips finish dead last, losing 5 of 7 MAC games by a touchdown or less. A game of inches, and the Zips are closer than college football thinks. I’d expect the o/u on 2023 wins set by sports books will be in the 4-5 range. Bet the farm on the over.

Well, the 2022 season has come to an end. Lots to say! I think I was expecting more simply because of our hire for head coach and the recruits he managed to get in a short amount of time. However, it dawned on me I didn't factor in much that he was taking over for Arth and that mess. Oh, and the messes before Arth. My excitement blinded me by facts. All in all, based on the play the last few weeks, and with JoeMo having a full offseason to recruit, I feel the future is bright and next season should be an improvement. I'm ready to renew my season tickets again NOW. What are your thoughts on this season, everyone?

I know there will be a lot more interest when we are playing in it next year but a couple story lines with the game. First most people know OU is trying to when a Mac championship for the first time since 1968. This is Toledo's 7th trip to the championship game and four of those were against Marshall. NIU has actually played every single East team in the championship game.

Boateng looked the part, but didn’t produce at MSU or even here how one would have hoped. Good luck to him. Outside of him and any other players who played out of necessity but not necasssrily warranted, im good with any player who has been in college 3 years who couldn’t sniff the field this year to look for greener pastures. Zayden's season isn't over yet in 2 weeks they will be playing for the National Championship their #3 in 2 polls and #1 in another and they will be playing the #9 team in the country so Akron will be getting a National Champ!

I think Irons is QB1 and no transfers brought in unless there’s a big fish out there for MAC standards if that makes sense. A highly touted QB out of HS whose behind a stud for a big program. I agree DJ needs to clean up some things. Taking less sacks/learning to check down/throw the ball away, and cut out the costly turnovers. He has all the tools otherwise. An improved line and running game will help with that a lot.

Quit raining on the Negative Nancy's parade with your positive facts. We were 2-10 - there is literally no other way you can look at and judge this season.

Pinky's cheeks are rarely rosey in a positive way in March.

I can confidently say that the program is in better condition on December 2, 2022 than it was on December 2, 2021. I'd have liked to have seen more wins but in the final analysis I am pleased with the direction of the team and this coaching staff.

Our run was similar to that of Pitt thus far. Won 1st round game. Defeated #16 seed Syracuse then #1 seed Wake Forest. However, Zips had to travel to Stanford whereas Pitt will host their Elite 8 match.

DeAndre Yedlin - class act as always. So proud of him representing U of A.

And the Suckeyes are going to back their way into another Playoff.
