Seems like forever and a day since GoZips88, BirdZip & Family, Lilroodude and I met up to watch the big fella swat some shots in Twinsburg. At the time it seemed a remote possibility that the Zips could be landing the best player in the building, but they did it.

They need to add a faint image of Zeke's face lurking in the background on the cover of THIS year's UA basketball media guide, kinda like how the 'evil' Zippy lurks in the corner of posters and on the scoreboard before intros.

Love the fact that he goes right up with it on some of those inside feeds. Too often, you see a big man bringing the ball down and getting hacked at or turning it over.

Good times.

I wonder if GameChnger54 will be changing the Screen Name to GameChngr44 soon? Is Zeke still #54 for his upcoming season or has he swapped already? I think its great how they're so proud of their son and come on and share with us. We're proud that he chose to join in our tradition as well (of course I mean the Computer Science Department, I suspect he will be our tallest computer science graduate ever). I keep hearing that he plays some sort of sport as well. Glad to hear that but also glad to see that he really did make a choice based on academic reasons as well. Those are the kind of student-athletes (in the truest sense of the word) that you want at your school. Go Zeke!

I loved that he did not try to celebrate after ever awesome block or bucket. He rather workmen like turned and ran back down the court or positioned himself for the next block. I also noticed that he wasn't trying to swat the ball out of bounds on every block.

To answer your question MDZips....Zeke has put his request for the number change in with his coach...however, they aren't sure if the shirt will fit. Don't know if they are willing to order a new #44 Tigers jersey for him. I'll keep you up-to-date on the number change thing.
