I get a lot of timeouts on this board...is it just me or do we lack server capacity?

It must be you. I have used my PC's at home & office & my laptop with no problems.

Server capacity is only at about 20% .. we're on a shared hoster .. and things have been pretty quick. I'll keep an eye on it, but this is the first I've heard of it.

Must be something about my computer or ISP but it's been happening to me for weeks now. I don't have the problem with other sites though...at least I know the server is OK, thanks.

I've seen some slow loads and even page timeouts a few times since the IPB upgrade. It's been okay most of this morning and I think it's getting better. I suspect the new version of IPB is more DB intensive.
Shared hosting is sometimes a crapshoot. I've seen as many as 200 sites on one server before, and if more than a few of those sites get active, the whole server practically grinds to a halt.
Problem is, a site this small isn't worth the loot for dedicated hosting.
