The GoZips.com schedule page has been updated to Boyds, MD. And also "First Energy Stadium" has been removed from the Xavier game in CIncy. But the CSU game is still listed as Akron when it should be Cleveland.

It may have been fixed by now but the schedule page also listed the CSU game as a home game but as the release states, it is a road game.

I think it's fair to say this season marks the first real signs of improvement since the program returned. Overall and conference winning percentages by year shows the improvement compared to stagnation in previous years: 2020: .077 (n/a) 2021: .294 (.200) 2022: .268 (.275) 2023: .365 (.370) And this year's schedule featured fewer non-D1 opponents that allowed us to boost the overall winning percentage in recent years.

Men's soccer has raised over $15,000 already while football has raised about $1,300. That speaks volumes in many ways.

Yeah, one of the tweets from ZipsBB twitter said it was non-conference, plus it wasn't marked as a MAC game on the schedule page. Same situation when they play at Eastern later this month.

After a couple of midweek wins, the Zips host the top team in the MAC, Ball State this weekend for 3 games. Should be a good gauge on how much we've improved.

It happens on my PC also if I go directly to the homepage but if I go to any other page first, it works fine. It also works on my phone just fine. I'm guessing it would be an issue the website hosting company would need to fix and not anything someone in the athletic department could fix.

This weekend's games at Toledo are on ESPN+ and the video broadcast is very good quality for MAC baseball. I can't comment on the announcers since I have it on mute while at work.

I believe you are correct so that would make sense why it wouldn't be a conference game. But the April 18 EMU one is strange to me.

Not sure how accurate it is, but according to the schedule on GoZips.com, there is a Tuesday game (April 4) against EMU that is a conference game, but also Tuesday games against EMU (April 18) and Kent (May 9) that are not conference games. That may be inaccurate on the schedule but it wouldn't be the first time college baseball featured conference opponents that were not counted as conference games.

Bleachers are free and were open every time I went last year. The MAC isn't doing Saturday doubleheaders this year, just 3 game series, one each on Friday, through Sunday.

A win and we likely play NIU while we likely play Buffalo with a loss. I would much rather play NIU so that makes it a big game even if it wasn't a rivalry.

Last year, all home games were streamed on GoZips.com but not ESPN+. They were pretty decent broadcasts though. I assume it would be similar this year. My understanding is it costs more to produce ESPN+ broadcasts because they have higher requirements.

Do we know for sure that Akron would get the #1 seed if we win out? Assuming Toledo won their remaining games other than against Akron, the teams would have the same conference record and would have split the series 1-1. I'm not sure what the tiebreaker would be in that situation.

I just looked over our conference schedule in it's entirety for the first time, and man is it an unbalanced schedule in terms of quality of competition. First 7 games against NIU, Ball State (they aren't bad), BG, EMU, CMU, WMU, and Miami. Then 9 of the last 11 are against Ohio, Buffalo, Kent, Toledo, and Ball State.

Do we know if X will be out again or do we have to wait and see?

Negative temperatures in Peoria at game time, so shouldn't be much of a crowd for this one.

I gave the post a like because I agree with the second half of it completely but the first half only partly. I don't think it's been a bad start to the season but we should have beaten Nevada, and really should be beating Marshall too. Or at least playing them closer than we did.
