  1. with the age he looks, id suggest more whiskey and cigs
  2. this is what i said.. Very Typical of John Groce teams. 5 or 6 MAC loses then run the tourney. never finished higher than 3rd in the east at OU but didnt have issues winning the tourney or getting post season wins. He reminds me a lot of Tom Izzo. Realizes the regular season is practice for the postseason

  4. What a world, you can go from 3 wins as a HC in college and getting fired, to an NFL job. Ive been doing life all wrong
  5. I contribute alot of it to the obsession with the 3 point shot and the lack of wanting to play tough defense. everyone wants to shoot the rock and no one wants to guard it, and couple that with players that cant shoot the 3 at a good rate but shoot it anyway, makes it look worse than it has in the past. you just dont see players slashing to the basket for layups like we used to because it isnt exciting to most players, and if we do, its to dish it out to a poor shooting 3 point shooter that isnt being guarded, because he is a terrible shooter.
  6. I think we should start a gofundme to send me to the bahamas so i can be stuck there as well
  7. almost every team in college basketball has bad losses. this isnt the basketball of 20 years ago where there were teams that werent losing to mid majors. you have the top 10 teams in the country and then everyone else. any team can beat any team on any night. Rutgers beat purdue this year, texas southern beat Florida, Iona beat alabama, Baylor lost back to back home games as the AP #1 team. that was the first time in history.
  8. I may be in the minority, but i dont think the MAC is as down this year as most here believe it is. Year in and year out, with the random years where a certain team is better than other years, most the teams are right around what they are now. Akron, Kent, Toledo, OU, and Canada are at the top of the MAC which they are this year. They are all ranked in the NET right around where they are now. We may not be ranked as high as we typically are but its not a significant difference. There is 5 teams in the top 165 in college basketball which is about where the MAC normally is. Overall, the MAC in general is about where it is every year, some good teams at the top, garbage at the bottom.
  9. i dont remember the last time we had so many hosses on the OL/DL. impressive to see these players with size coming in. Now the size has to translate to wins
  10. i agree. i wonder if the boring, terrible brand of football we've endured over the last few seasons rolled over into the unis as well. youd think if we couldnt play well on saturdays, tuesdays, thursdays, whenever we played, wed at least look good playing bad
  11. i actually like what Oregon does with their Unis. Its unique, keeps people interested and talking about it. yes some have been terrible but the majority have been pretty solid. i wouldnt mind at all if we switched up the styling weekly or every couple weeks. Again, the old saying look good, feel good, play good has more merit than youd think. As for Penn State, they will never change. their brand is synonymous with the white helmet and the blue strip and blue face mask. its a classic clean look and not many schools have the tradition to pull that look off. All that being said i understand your point of it doesnt matter what they wear to you as long as the win in them.
  12. my guess is whatever Matt Kaulig likes best is what it will be
  13. Im not sure if this has been a point posted but as ive been reading through this thinking, it occured to me that not only will the pedigree and experience he holds, and his coaches hold as a great recruiting tool, the fact that he can point out to recruits/transfers that he could have gone almost anywhere as a HC but chose Akron because it really is a special place to be could go a long way in the recruiting process.
  14. i mean he only has the most returns in NFL history for touchdowns
  15. Now if he can only teach our WR to catch with your hands and pull the ball into your chest like he did in that video
  16. according to bruce feldman zips are expected to hire Moorhead this weekend after the ducks game
