  1. Vandelay is a Rockets fan and he rates the Zips class as #1...http://www.vandelaysports.com/football/rec...2006/akron.html"Final Analysis It was truly an incredible year for JD Brookhart and his Zips. Several publications listed his 2005 recruiting class #1 in the MAC and he guided Akron to their first ever MAC championship and a bowl game this fall. The magic carpet ride continues as Akron has been rated the top MAC recruiting class in almost every published source, including VanDelaySports. The Zips signed speed, size and talent at every position and certainly rates as OUTSTANDING compared to the other conference schools this year."
  2. Ok Tom,using your own logic and taking it a step further..... Why does the BJ cover Can't?? they average only a few more fans than the Zips... this for a team that has 7 concecutive 20+ win seasons, NCAA and NIT tournament appearances and on and on...Bottom line, when the local paper and media treat MAC as second class... so does the community...Need proof? BJ covers OSU like they are local right? Offer average BJ sports fan a free ticket to OSU game or free season tickets to Zips games.... which do you think he'd choose?
  3. First, Meeshijeean??? We all typo.. been there.2nd... losing a big lead and wtill winning sure is a heck of lot better than never being in the game.. refer to Crawford, Coleman... Hipsher, Dan.3rd... How about these Zips? They could have easily folded in both games. But instead they sucked it up and won in overtime... with all the momentum against them.. they still fought through it and earned the W.4th.. mental toughness... If the players didn't believe Coach Dambrot (please note -- spelled with only one "T") about playing 40 minutes, they sure do now...Sheez... 8-1 and you still gripe???? Pathetic..... I suppose your also upset that we only won the MAC Football Championship with a 7-5 record too??? <MODERATOR SNIP>

  6. Record-Courier reports Zips to Nevada... for Bracket BusterCan't to host Butler...Last paragraph:"The Record-Courier has learned that Can't State will host Butler University (11-8) in ESPN’s Bracket Buster series on Feb. 18. Akron will travel to the University of Nevada that same day."http://www.recordpub.com/article.php?pathT...t&article=1&tD=
