  1. Well I think we are into the NIT regardless unless we collapse and don’t win the league
  2. before I read your post I was reading this as your predicted scores and the fact that you had WMU losing 315-268 had me dying
  3. Forgive me if this has been discussed before in this topic, but we can all agree Rique is one of the best MAC players we have seen in some time. However, what does his pro-prospects look like? Obviously he’s too small to be a 4 or 5 in the NBA, does that mean he’s looking as a SF spot? Or would be be a Tristan Thompson-esque 4?
  4. This has to potential to be huge for the Zips… excited for this one. JMU is no joke though.
  5. Can’t State still sucks… but my Xbox gamertag I’m still rocking 15 years later does not
  6. Idk who any of the guys in the pool are but I'm rooting for Luke to pull off the perfect quadrant in the Midwest.
  7. That's okay, I'll take a clunker W against Buffalo if it means we come out and blow the doors off KSUcks tomorrow.
  8. I don't like that the first three games today weren't close. Hopefully the Zips follow suit and aren't locked in a tight one.
  9. Certainly would rather see Ohio than Toledo in the finals. Gotta get there though.
  10. They better save some of this defensive intensity for the Rockets then. Swarming defense by Ohio so far.
  11. Well thanks to St Peter's I'm the only one in the group who lost their champion in the first round lol thanks UK
  12. If you did, his next endeavor would be taking the Zips to the Big Dance. No one would have thought lol
  13. https://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa-tournament-heres-what-to-know-about-every-team-in-the-mens-e-ast-region-021957508.html "No. 13 seed Akron (24-9, MAC champion) Akron emerged from the MAC tournament's No. 4 seed with wins over top-seeded Toledo and No. 2 seed Kent State to secure an automatic NCAA bid. Their tournament victory capped an eight-game winning streak heading into NCAA play. If they want to make it nine straight, they'll likely need second-team All-MAC forward Ali Ali (14.1 points per game, 41.2% 3-point shooting) to make a name for himself."
  14. Can't link it here, but on the CBS sports app they have their analysis of the game and one of the analysts thinks the line is way too high at 14 and should be 8.5-9.5, and in speaking of the Zips, said we have 2 NBA players in Ali Ali and Freeman, who he said is the second best rebounder in the country! The host is from Kent and a KSU fan and said he hopes the Zips win for the MAC to which the aforementioned analyst said we have no chance. But still, this is not the first time I've heard Ali talked about as an NBA prospect. I can't remember anyone since Zeke who was ever an NBA prospect and even he was always a long shot. I'm torn because I think UCLA is a terrible matchup for us, but our play has been on another level these last 8 games so I think we have as good a shot as I can ever remember of winning an NCAA tourney game. Thursday can't come soon enough! Go Zips!
  15. https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaab/2022-ncaa-tournament-bracket-reveal-live-reaction-instant-betting-analysis/amp "Many people look at 13 seeds for a potential upset when filling out brackets. But look elsewhere in this matchup, as the Bruins should roll over Akron. UCLA ranks eighth in the nation in efficiency rating, according to KenPom, yet it drew a four-seed due to a tough start in February. The Zips largely flew under the radar in the MAC this season, but managed to run away with the conference tournament title game by 20 points over Kent State. Akron has an experienced head coach in John Groce, who will have his squad ready for the moment. Whether the Zips have the talent to compete with a blue blood in UCLA is another question. Akron has four starters who average double-digits in scoring, but size is a major concern. The Zips have only two starters that stand over 6-foot-3, and only two players that stand at 6-foot-7. They rank 252nd in the nation in average height, according to KenPom, and will need to try and slow down a UCLA offense that scored 55% of its points from 2-point territory. This UCLA roster has experience in the tournament and will surely lean on that against Akron. The Bruins will likely be high double-digit favorites and should have no issue making it to the second round. I’d look at playing the under, as this matchup will be played at one of the slowest tempos of the first round. Akron is likely looking to take the air out of the ball. Ignore the following quotes:
  16. Not within 10 years but We did it in 2006-2007, and then They returned the favor the next year. Didn't get to watch the game live like I'd hoped so I'm watching the replay now. Boy is it nice to watch knowing the outcome. I have to say, I don't know much about Can't, but Justyn Hamilton is a solid player. He seems the least bone headed out of their players.
  17. It's no coincidence that the two hottest teams in the MAC are facing off tomorrow... Can't hasn't lost since January 21 and are riding a 14 game winning streak... The Zips lost on February 17 and are on a 7 game winning streak. Going to be an epic battle, looking forward to watching it! I'll be in Louisville but I will be watching on my phone.
  18. Watching the Toledo game had me thinking, "whoever wins between UB and UA probably wins tomorrow." Here's hoping!
  19. WOW... Williams did not touch the ball on that possession and Brewton with an off balance 3? Let's go Zips. Win it right here. Get a smart look
  20. You knew UB wasn't going to lay down and take it. Need to finish the second half the way we finished the first and started the second. Defensive tenacity. And stop with the iso ball!
  21. Wynn just adds an element of defense the rest of the team doesn't have. So active. Zips need to keep their foot on the gas. Ali with 13 points to start the second half!!
  22. Shooters gonna shoot! Must keep it up on the defensive end
