  1. Indeed. The logic makes sense, but big gamble for both AD and Dru.
  2. FWIW, Groce had similar situation in year 1 going into year 2. Felt like he was hired later than usual, KD took a lot of the team with him - current players and HS recruits - and Groce was left scrambling to fill scholarships in year 1. Because of that, we had significant turnover going into year 2 as well. Hoping Gensler finds his foundational players. Year 2 may be disappointing again, but in year 3 we should start seeing noticeable improvement if this is going to be a success.
  3. Maybe close to 50% new faces once you factor in graduates...
  4. We would seem like the favorite for Harding so far.
  5. Just our luck! Multiple open looks for them so far too.
  6. Schools in the MAC either need to adapt to the new college sports landscape or fall further and further behind. Somebody posted that UMASS said the MAC maybe has one or two NIL funds. Nothing is going to change and we’ll never have the success we hope for unless we play the game.
  7. Early, but JMU is playing physical as hell against Wisconsin. Straight bullying them
  8. At least in our “rebuilding year”, everyone else seems to be as well. The conference is still there for the taking.
  9. Definitely got away from us in the 2nd half. We could’ve played better overall, but Creighton could’ve beat anyone in the country today. Probably at least an elite 8 team. The luck of the draw of an annual upper tier program and them being on fire isn’t a good combo for anyone, let alone a mid major under dog.
  10. Thats what made COVID hurt so bad. That was our best chance yet with LCJ (and all the other quality contributors in that team). But agree, killer guards are the way to make noise in the tourney.
  11. 1st half thoughts. We are playing pretty well but Creighton is a really good team. Feels like they rarely miss, especially from 3. In my mind, number 11 is the X factor. I’d go at him every play. Get him in foul trouble and things will open up.
  12. And a 25 min walk from there to the arena. I’ll just see everyone at the arena.
  13. Example infinity of the grass not always being greener. I'd take him at Akron tho!
  14. How about BYU, UCF, Cinci, and Houston just this past year. All joined Big 12 from mid-major conferences.
  15. SDSU, Utah St, and Drake also made the tourney.
  16. Tickets bought. Timing and location is simply too perfect to pass up. Go Zips!!!
  17. Their board did not want the keys to be handed to Joyce mid-season. Wonder if they'd be okay with that now. Big risk.
  18. Thanks. looks much cheaper than the $400 to get in price I was seeing last night on ticketmaster and seat geek. Maybe I was looking at the whole session price though.
  19. I think I read somewhere on here that someone said priority goes based on your contribution to the Z fund (or the Zips Athletic Club, whatever its called now). You'd think being a season ticket holder would get you some preference regardless of those contributions...However if not, I'm only able to make it to a few games a year anyways. It might make more sense for me to cancel the tickets and just donate that amount directly to the Z fund. At least I'd get a tax deduction..
  20. Would be great if we could get some information on ticket allotment...
