Not the optimal situation, losing 5 players (plus 2 senior transfers). But Gensler was hired at the end of march last year and they had a baby in early/mid april so not much of a recruiting class.  I believe he's been working on recruiting/transfers since our season ended so hoping its more successfull this year

I certainly hope he has been working on it. He was hired a bit late last year, but that should only have affected this year's team. He's had plenty of time to get a recruiting class for next season - if he had more than the one scholarship for Clark. Since most top kids have probably already committed for next season, it looks like a lot of portal players again.

Neither team deserved to be higher than a 13 seed. The Zips did nothing all season to earn it and neither did Duquesne. Yet somehow they got rewarded by playing a mediocre BYU team while the Zips are get blown out by Creighton.

And yes, I'm being petty. But I find no joy in seeing the coach who bailed his alma mater after never winning a tournament game, win one at another school. His Akron teams consistently underachieved and yet now we're supposed to cheer as we see our Zips get blown out yet again? No thanks.

    Good grief.

Note to self: do not buy March Madness tickets night of Selection Sunday.

The seats I've been looking at are between the baselines. The Penguins virtual seat viewer makes them look not terrible, but it shows a big hockey rink, not a basketball court. I also know the scoreboard at PPG has been enlarged recently. I question some of the view from my seat photos since they can vary for the same section. Other photos are obviously from a number of rows up in the section.  The Rocket Mortgage viewer was close to spot on for my MAC tickets.

I too was going to recommend that garage. Where I typically park for Pens games, too, and have never had much trouble getting out after.

How high is that top level at PPG compared to Rocket Mortgage? Good Row C seats are pretty reasonable.

Gandy Dancer Saloon in Station Square.

    Sounds like a strip club?

    Today's history lesson 😉

"Gandy dancer is a slang term used for early railroad workers in the United States, more formally referred to as section hands, who laid and maintained railroad tracks in the years before the work was done by machines.:

Unfortunately he's still horridous when finishing at the rim. It seems he is 1-14. How can he get to the rim so fluently and finish so terribly?

Not sure about that. Hasn't he had at least two big, strong man finishes at the rim in the last few games?

The ticket allotment isn't even enough to cover the blue seat down below. Assuming the 550 allotment is accurate. If the game was somewhere like Spokane where it required flying, then maybe some tickets would make it to the general public. That's just not going to happen now given the proximity. Ticket prices on Stub Hub aren't unreasonable. It probably helps none of the other 3 schools in Akron's pod are close to Pittsburgh.

Ticket office told me they only got 350 tickets this year.

Parked in the stadium garage on Thursday and Friday for $10.  Easy out both days.  Wonder if they jack up the price tonight.

They have in the past to $20. I gambled and bought the $10 pass for $16.25 for tonight

Just locked in tickets- Angela Rizzo coming up clutch once again!

An large number of Club Level (C119-122) seats between the baselines on the West side have opened up this morning in case anyone hasn't seen. Start at $44. Final price obviously depend on fees and/or discounts applied. $46 with Rizzo promo.

In two games Freeman has 54 points, 33 rebounds and 8 blocks. They should just make him tournament MVP right now. 🤣

He played 39 minutes tonight. I know his energy seems endless, but he may need some help tomorrow.

Was Dawson's shot such a set shot two years ago? I don't remember it being so. He gets no lift, it's not even a jumper

So tired of bricks and air balls from a "shooter." Enough.
