  1. I believe those are the total records of the teams remaining on each team's schedules.
  2. At least Father Berardi could kick those out in 20 minutes. The poor bastards at PCCC get the full 2 hour Latin Mass.
  3. ...who is another player that fled Duquesne.
  4. I got exactly one response to my trivia question/offer for free tickets and it took two days for someone to claim the tickets in Hilltopper's thread. Not a good sign.
  5. That place is so simple yet so effective as an arena. Canton is fortunate to have it and the Fieldhouse. Both places I love to watch hoops. Oh and "Ohhhhh yeahhhhhhhh!!!"
  6. This is the same newspaper that printed a bold-faced headline on page A-2 last week that referenced a Russian Pkot to invade Ukraine. A big old headline, since deleted in its archive e-edition.
  7. The Zips let Carry run wild in the first game, so much so that he scored nearly half of their points. The guy averages 17 points a game and is shooting 42% from the field overall and 33% on threes. Against the Zips he scored 32 points, was 11 of 17 from the field (65%) and was 6 of 10 on three pointers (60%). Hold him to his averages and the first game is entirely different. I wish the Zips had a Channel Banks type defender. I suspect Tribble is probably the best of the guards on defense. Whoever it is needs to get up on him and make things difficult. I'd also like to see them mix things up on defense to give him some different looks.
  8. https://www.beaconjournal.com/story/sports/college/zips/2022/02/09/report-los-angeles-chargers-hire-former-university-akron-coach-tom-arth/6721927001/ Apparently there were no unpaid grad assistant positions available.
  9. I am a little disappointed that this is not the last game of the season.
  10. I fixed the game time. I believe the UA site originally had it for 8, but I may have been looking at last month's game.
  11. The 14-9/9-4 Golden Flushes of Brimfield Tech come to the JAR Friday at 8 p.m. to renew the rivalry. The Flushes beat the Zips 67-55 at the Portage County Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Center on January 14th. Insincere Carry led them with 32 points. PCCC has had a perplexing season, playing some of the better teams tough while losing to the likes of NIU and CMU. They will come into the game on a 5- game win streak and fresh off of a home win over BG. Here’s a trivia question for two free tickets to the game: Who is the last Zip to average over 20 points per game in a season? Shoot your answer, name and email in a PM to me.
  12. Loves those Zips getting on the floor! I am thinking the light has gone on for Wynn.
  13. Joe Dunn with a good seat next to the monitor.
  14. Dawson, not Trimble, in at prime time. The Progressive "Saving You from Becoming Your Parents" commercials are always funny.
  15. I don't think that's a bad idea. He could be a Vinny Johnson instant offense kind of guy. My worry, however, would be that it damages his psyche and his play as a result.
  16. I was watching the Miami game Sunday and they missed getting him the ball on a pick and roll and I yelled "give him the ball!" My grandson, who is still can be tough to understand, now clearly and aggressively says "give him the ball!"
  17. I've seen and heard enough of the Post Malone commercial tonight.
  18. That's a little easier to do when he's 1/4 from the field and 0/3 from 3.
  19. Other teams have watched him enough now to know his moves and he's not adjusting. They are beating him to his spot and getting set on his pounding the ball backing in move and they're not biting on that little shimmy (travel) on the perimeter.
  20. The announcers wondering of X will come back in and he's already been back in for 2 possessions. LOL.
  21. Time to mix them up for a couple of possessions with the 1-3-1.
