  1. I’ve actually never watched basketball at PPG Paints. It does seem closer to me, but I’m comparing Penguins to Cavs, so not apples to apples.
  2. I too was going to recommend that garage. Where I typically park for Pens games, too, and have never had much trouble getting out after.
  3. https://youtu.be/VFJlsOx016I?si=OIdtNHbxV0apVx_B KD talks about Dru at the beginning of this post game from November. It’s cut off but he mentions him as the coach in waiting. At 5:40 a reporter asks about that. Certainly sounds like Dru is next in line at Duquesne.
  4. I haven’t tried it, but they claim that it does not.
  5. Looking at the schedule all conference games and home out of conference games have FloSports listed. Just looked and FloSports is a ridiculous $29.99/month. If anyone has any way to get a discount on that let me know.
  6. This may have been discussed elsewhere, but does anyone know if the Big East has their own streaming service we’ll have to subscribe to? Or will the games still be on ESPN+?
  7. Not technically professional but it fits in this thread. The Soccer Tournament (TST), sister of The Basketball Tournament (TBT), started today and I saw a couple former Zips on the Kingdom FC roster. Thomas Schmitt and Luke Holmes are both on that team. I didn’t see a ton of the other rosters so there may be more Zips out there. This is the first year for this 7v7 tourney, but it would be great to see a Zips alumni team in there at some point.
  8. I think he won last year's award. He plays for the Sacramento Kings now.
  9. I saw Sam Tojaga was dressed yesterday. And I know it’s been ages since he’s played, but he could be another useful option at holding midfielder if he can get back fit. No clue where he stands in his injury recovery, or how it would affect his ability after being out so long, but he was top quality when he was playing.
  10. What’s the latest on Sam? Will we see him this season?
  11. Kwan is on the Magic Summer League team. Here is the NBA.com story with a blurb on him. Here is what it says to save you the click: Kwan Cheatham Jr. One of the more experienced players in this year’s summer league, Cheatham has already played on five professional teams overseas, including most recently with Fuenlabrada of the Spanish Liga ACB. He played his college ball at Akron, where in 101 games across four seasons he averaged 7.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists. His best college performance came on Jan. 28, 2017 against Buffalo when he erupted for 31 points and made seven 3-pointers. The 26-year-old is best known for his ability to space the floor at 6-foot-10, 235 pounds while doing all the dirty work on defense and on the glass
  12. No Saturday home games. Makes it more difficult for us out-of-towners. Ugh.
  13. Jimond Ivey got drafted in the G League Draft by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers
  14. Federico Serra transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University
  15. 1-0 Zips. Looks like Pacheco with a header off a free kick from near the corner.
  16. There are only 36 numbers that players in college can wear. So actually retiring the numbers instead of just honoring them could end up causing problems for some programs.
  17. It's his brother. This is Wan Kuzri, that was Wan Kuzain. Wan Kuzain Wan Kamal plays for Sporting KC.
  18. He's also got a podcast where he's interviewed a few former Zips (Richie Laryea, Adam Najem, and Aodhan Quinn). I've only listened to the Najem one so far, but they talked a lot about his decision to come to Akron and the recruiting process. Pretty interesting.
  19. Not sure if it was mentioned, but Aaron Jackson is playing in Ireland this season.
  20. Is there anyone that went to the game against the Riverhounds yesterday? Any updates?
  21. Didn't we have 15 turnovers against Clemson? I was really pleased to see us improve that so drastically yesterday.
