rln
Several high profile recruits have visited Akron in recent weeks. The new staff is busy performing last minute recruiting magic. ZachTheZip
There are not many spots left in the recruiting class. Then again, for every recruit we get under Ianello we seem to lose a Brookhart player or recruit.

I can't say I have seen a recruiting class of smaller than 15 at a FBS school..if I have, it is very rare. I would think we have room for at least 5-9 players. ZachTheZip
Our class is a small one. I think we have something like 18 or 19 scholarships to give, and I think we have 11 locked up. Most schools have at least 20 recruits per class. Akron has to be more selective than usual when offering scholarships.

MaxZIP
Coach I should continue to poach recruits that have previously committed to other MAC schools. They are mac-level talent and probably committed early. Let them see the stadium and facilities and we will see what they believe after that. Buckzip
When I saw the thread title of Highly Regarded Recruits, I assumed we were talking about BCS level recruits. The list you are showing are commits to other MAC schools. If we only recruit MAC level recruits, we will only be a MAC level team.I understand that coach got a late start and all, but I wouldn't call these guys high level by any means. Though early in his career, he seems to be working out OK.Good to get those guys that are basically recruited by every MAC team, steal a couple that have some Big 10, Big East offers...and coach 'em up!! zff
Kevin Henry (Soft Verbal to CMU) It appears Henry is sticking with CMU. He liked Akron but not enough to change his mind about CMU.
