That's certainly one possible interpretation. But let's review the following lines from the story: Houst will be joined at Akron by high school teammate Marcus Prather. Prather, Big Red's starting quarterback for the 2011 season, will be attending Akron as a preferred walk on. "Yes, he is, and one of the dudes from my team is going to Akron too," Houst said. Houst said it is going to be nice for him to be able to see a few familiar faces when he gets to Akron. It's the dreaded, ambiguous use of the pronoun "he" (in bold) that causes the confusion. Does this refer to William or Marcus? That is the question. But taking a look at the last sentence, the word "few" (in bold) may be the smoking gun that implies William will be joined by more than just Marcus at Akron. Maybe George Thomas can solve the mystery. Getting back to Houst, it's great to see him being a disruptive force in an all-star game like this. I'm guessing his size (6'2", 230 lbs) at DE may have steered more prominent schools away. I'll take an undersized kid who can play any day over a paper giant. If he buys solidly into the weight program at Akron, he could easily wind up playing at 265 lb or so in a few years. The K.E.N.T. DE who has been tearing up the MAC isn't exactly huge. But let's look at the bright side. He grew 2" On the other hand, he dropped 5 lbs I saw an article covering the Buchtel-Big Red game last year, and he made some big plays in that game. It sure seems like he might be one of those guys who looks MUCH better on the field than in front of a stop watch. His forty time is only 4.94 per ESPN. This is a little confusing, so please stay with me. The first link mentions him at a Big Red banquet of sorts. It reports him playing well as a FR at a junior college in California (led ALL junior college players in sacks). Link 1 The second link is the 2012 Gavilan CC football roster. There is no William Houst, but #52 is William Lee from Steubenville. I think it's a safe bet that William goes by that name at this point. Link 2 The third link shows his stats for 2012. It looks like he had a pretty good year, especially rushing the passer. I hope there's another chance to bring him to Akron after all. Maybe they think it shines a negative light on the program? Maybe they don't want to alert other schools to these player's eligibility issues? I'm grasping at straws here.
