The American center Zeke Marshall (2m13, 23 years) is Limburg United's replacement for DJ Cunningham. Marshall played last season in the NBA D-League Maine Red Claws. There he was responsible for 5.5 points and 5 rebounds per game. He was educated at the University of Akron (Ohio). He was named twice to Mid-American Conference defensive player of the year. He was also active in Poland and Taiwan. The roster of Limburg United is now complete. The new Belgian first division team opens on Friday, October 3rd in Hasselt and against Belfius Mons Hainaut.

Thanks for the update, GameChngr44. I do at least one search a day for Zeke news, and have been feeling down about the lack of anything new over the past few weeks. The most reasonable assessment of Zeke's future that I've heard was that he would need about two years of development after college to have a chance to catch on with an NBA team. Playing in Europe to start his second year of post-college development will be good for him. I've spent some time in Belgium, and it's a beautiful and friendly country. I think Zeke will enjoy his time there more than he did Poland and Taiwan.

Here's a link to a 2014-15 team preview of Zeke's new team. Head Coach Brian Lynch is an American who played college basketball at Villanova and who played professionally in Europe before getting into coaching. Trivia fact: Lynch is married to Kim Clijsters, the retired Belgian tennis star who is a former world #1 in both singles and doubles.

Anyone else remember Kenneth van Kempen, the 6-10 Dutchman who played for OU from 2006-2010? He turned pro and has been playing in the Dutch Basketball League. This is his latest tweet:

Can someone tell me how to attach pics in here? Have several I would like to share.

There are a few ways. Here is one. Click on the 'Gallery' tab at the top. There is an Upload button. Create an album, and upload your images. Once uploaded, you can right click on the image and get a direct link. Copy that link and paste it into the image button (button with the tree) when replying.

It reads more complicated than it actually is. Option 2, pm me, I'll give you an email address to send me the images, and I can do it for you.

I am not a video gamer but this is interesting:

http://www.twitch.tv/ziggy_marsh

Twitch.tv is one of the most interesting developments to happen to the internet in recent years. The top channels, when live, boast higher viewer counts than most of the minor sporting events like golf and tennis. People can attract a loyal audience and if you're lucky get a partnership and even make a very good living from playing video games.

Ha! Lebanon out of all places. Lebanon is my native country.

Sagesse is Lebanon's equivalent of LA Lakers. Perennial power with a lot of history and supporters.

Best of luck to Zeke. I wish I can get in touch with him to offer help with whatever I can do from over here.

Also, If you ever run into an arabic story about him, I'll translate for free ;)

It seems to me that Zeke is only signed for the Dubai tournament and not the whole season. He doesn't show on the seasonal roster of Sagesse

http://www.clubsagesse.org/roster

My understanding is that the Lebanese league rules allow teams to have no more than 1 international player on their rosters (for that, sagesse has Desmond Penigar) while the Dubai tournament allows teams to have more international players.

It is good to see Zeke making the most of his opportunity. If he impresses, Sagesse may decide to keep him as their international player or he may catch the eye of another team in the Dubai tournament or Lebanese league.

Zeke's team lost the championship game in the Dubai International Tournament by 2 points in double overtime. Zeke was his team's 3rd leading scorer with 13 and 10 rebounds in Sagesse's loss to Riyada, which scored a record 6th championship in the tournament. So where does Zeke go from here?

Looks as if Zeke is staying with Sagesse for Lebanese league play after last week's Dubai International Tournament:

Sagesse slump to defeat despite Stoglin’s 74 points

... Sagesse missed star center Julian Khazzouh, sidelined by an ankle injury, paving the way for American center Zeke Marshall to debut in the league in place of compatriot Charles Thomas.
