Thanks to running up the big lead early, no one had to play excessive minutes:

28 = Jake

27 = Nyles

25 = Kwan

25 = Deji

24 = Reggie

24 = Antino

22 = Big Dog

13 = Aaron

Coach Dambrot said in the interview he was most concerned about not overplaying Big Dog and Antino, so they should all be good to go Wednesday. Getting Pat out there for 2 minutes was good for Pat and the rest of the team. He should be able to play at least limited minutes Wednesday.

The Zips played an almost perfect first half. This is the second game in a row where they played at a very high level. The first 2 possessions Antino made 2 very difficult shots as the time clock was expiring. Each game he gets better. That seem to set the tone for the game.

Diji was amazing. He was driving to the basket and was to strong for his defenders to handle and made numerous baskets going to the hoop. Big Dog and Kwan had very solid games. This is the second game in a row that Kwan was in double figures and he had 3 offensive rebounds. Playing down low is helping his rebounding.

Less may be better. Each of these guys knows that they are going to be playing 20 or more minutes no matter what they do. They are relaxed and getting into the flow of the game. Antino looked a little tired at times but Kretzer and Reggie are in amazing shape.

We shot over 50%. Although we had 16 turnovers, a lot of those came in the last 10 minutes when we went to 4 corners. Malcom had 3 turnovers.

Looking forward to Wed. Zips catch a break and have the late game. More rest for the team.

Oh yay!! Kretzer did the same as last game 6 pts in the first half and 0 in the second. Give it up for "the little things" He played more minutes than every player! Great win for the zips tonight!!!

I knew someone could find something to complain about despite an incredible performance from our Zips tonight, nice work!

And the prophesy is fulfilled.

It was just one of those things, like no matter how this year went.. We're akron, at home, with the season on the line. And they're.. Northern Illinois. I don't have any feel for how the rest of the tourney will go. It's wide open, and it'd be a ton of fun if UB wasn't sitting there on a week's rest. I'm not as big of a fan as the triple bye being on the other side of it, but tough shit, win some more games if you don't like it.
