Still fun to go to Avon, even if Zips not playing.  Great venue, fun town, MAC B-ball ain't bad either.

Very nice. I've seen a few Crushers games there.

Agreed. I wish more of our teams would bring back the gold colored uni's. Although this isn't exactly gold it is much better than black, gray or white. I'm very hopeful that the baseball program will deliver a winner sooner than later. I like the way they are developing the program.

It's just like watching a human fetus develop.

The former single cell baseball team has just split into two cells; man am I excited about its development..

It's not often you can see a college program develop from day one.

Although given a choice I would probably take seeing how the team developed under Rick Rembielak. Even though we would still be watching home games at the middle school-quality retention basin.

Welp. I already lost track of the "kids" with everything else going on.

So I bookmarked a couple links to check in on our fellow alum when we have a moment

I found some much better sources to get game by game stats.

Chris Bassett game logs

JT Brubaker game logs

MLB upcoming starters

Akron Zips alumni

It's hard to tell how many other Zips are active in the minor leagues and independant leagues, with everything being shut down. it looks like Devan Ahart and James Meeker would still be active. it looks like Dom Iero hung up the spikes.

Oakland’s Chris Bassett finished the season a very respectable 5-2 1.78 with 55 K’s and a 1.159 WHIP. He has quickly become Oakland’s ace.

Pittsburgh’s JT Brubaker finished 1-2 4.94 with 48 K’s and a 1.37 WHIP.

Very respectable. The future looks bright for our Zips in MLB.
