Reggie Corner - Coach and Player - Set to Experience McKinley-Massillon Game Together

I know we were all wondering about this because Reggie played for the Zips not that long ago - the article states Reggie Sr. had Reggie Jr. when he was only 15 - a freshman at McKinley.

Without his son, Corner doesn’t know if he would have made it at the University of Akron, where he earned first team All-Mid-American Conference as a senior in 2007 and remains tied for second on the school’s all-time interceptions list with 15.

The younger Corner is putting together another strong season after switching from linebacker to safety, the position he’ll play at the next level. Corner leads the Bulldogs in tackles for the third straight season while also topping the team in forced fumbles (two), pass breakups (seven) and defensive touchdowns (two, both off interceptions).

I hear his parents helped him out a great deal in raising Reggie Jr. so that he could finish high school, go to college, and try to establish an NFL career. Great that he had those positive influences in his life. Hear so many stories of kids having kids in high school then dropping out. Nice to hear a guy using it as motivation to better his life in an attempt to make a better future for his kid.
