Get to Know Your Zips

Recommended Posts

Granted you can skip through it...but the 1:20 minute intro for a 2:20 minute video is a bit excessive.

Nice to put a voice and personality to the players. Otherwise you'd only know their name and number.

Since Akron has no TV coverage, it's really the only chance to hear most of the guys.

Looks like our starting 5 on the OL are as follows based on the clip (I may have Ritz and Erickson on the wrong side?):

LT - LTT 6'7" 315

LG - Ritz 6'5" 300

C - Gauthney 6'1" 290

RG - Erickson 6'3" 300

RT - Letulli 6'5" 345

Those are some big boys. Overall, much bigger than last year.

Last year we were:

LT: Williams 6' 3" 296

LG: Brumbaugh 6' 5" 288

C: Bohan 6'3" 290

RG: Brown 6' 4" 336

RT: Osbourne 6' 3" 305

6-3 1/2 310 vs 6'3 303

not really that big of a difference overall.

Tackles:

6' 7" 315 vs. 6'3" 296

6'5" 345 vs 6'3" 305

Big enough and trending in the right direction.

But smaller up the middle

Hasn't Bowden came out saying this year the O-line is more athletic? If they have gotten larger and quicker those are both signs.

Yes, he has.

Looking for the next clip on the interior DL. The two deep here is extremely important. I'm interested if Hamilton is making an impact and at which position.

I'm curious about that as well. Either way I think we have more DL depth than we had last year. Not necessarily more talent without Coe and Grice, but we should be deeper.

Would really like to see these in a five question format. The information they share when they talk would be great in a graphic but then ask them five questions to help really get to know them. Nothing serious just fun stuff like they do with the Little League World Series. Like....

1. Who is your favorite football player.

2. Favorite movie?

3. Favorite food?

4. Some place you'd like to visit?

5. Favorite coach on the staff.

Or even just one sort of random question to get to the personality. If you could be any cartoon character, who would you be?
