Monday was not a good night for the zips on the field...and they did not get any help for RPI

 

Butler lost tonight 2-1 to a  Drake team that is not ranked.

Drake had lost first game 1-0 to Oral Roberts

Western Miichigan lost 1-0 tonight to DePaul

DePaul lost first game 1-0 to Kentucky

Pitt beat Delaware tonight 6-1...Robby Dambrot scored a goal

Washington 2 New Mexico 0

Green Bay 3 N. Illinois 2

Notre Dame def.Connecticut 3-0 in a battle of 2 future zip opponents

Northern Illinois 1  Houston Baptist 0

   not zip opponent...but marshall 1 Ohio State 0...slow start to the post John Bleum era

VCU 1  Temple 0

NC state 2   Presbyterian 0

Michigan State 3 Canisius 2

   two traditional powers..Stanford and Maryland played to 0-0 tie

West Virginia 5 American 1

Wright State 0  Bowling Green 0

Texas rio grande valley 3  Northern Illinois 2

   Buckeyes drop to 1-3 as they lose 1-0 to Milwaukee

     Notre Dame, Syracuse, VCU, Connecticut, and Seattle all have sunday night games

Akron was #2 in top drawer ranking last week

fell out of the top 25 this week..NC State moved from 17 to 4

speaking of things that make no sense...Washington ( a zips opponent this weekend)...was ranked #3 last week by the soccer coaches

Washington lost 3-2 in double overtime...to Denver (ranked #19 at the time)

Washington dropped from 3 to 23 in the rankings...

Denver went from 19 to 6....

 

NC State received votes last week....they moved to #8 after a convincing win over Akron

Akron dropped from 4 to 14
