zzx
Just last year (2017), Kato outperformed Woodsen in the following statistical categories: QB rating (125.3 to 121.2) TD/INT ratio (9/2 = 4.5 to 14/9 = 1.6) Yards per pass attempt (7.1 to 6.4) Longest completion (71 yards to 45 yards) Net rushing yards (198 to -25)

Kato started what, 5 out of 14games and played in just about every game? They can't be too far off. Regardless, sample sizes are definitely comparable. Its not like Kato played 10 snaps or 1 game or something.
Blue & Gold
Good points. But probably I should have said I wish I had the same confidence about Kato which I had about Woody before his shoulder injury. Excited/anxious to see what the offense can do this week. Hopefully the weather's not too nasty.

This AM if he looked as good as Tommy did against a 1AA team at that point and I am not sure he did. He has the talent, and can certainly have the rock 60+ yards, but I am not sure he has the same smart Tommy did. That might be the first time I've seen that word used to describe Tommy
72 Roo
Just joining in on the conversation. Kato scares the hell out of me when considering his maturity and disposition. He thinks of himself and his desire to react before he thinks of the team. I see that coming from his Lavar Ball type dad, not a good mentor. I think he can be far better than Woody, but his teammates will pick up the realization that he can't lead under pressure if that is truly there. If that happens bring on Ramart, because Kato is worthless in the long run.
