Northern Illinois improved to 7-2-0 with a 2-1 win over Milwaukee

  NIU up to 11 in RPI

Radford 4 W. Virginia 1  (Radford was 0-5-0 before this game)

Creighton improved to 6-1-1 with a 2-1 win over Jacksonville

Notre Dame 4 Xavier 1   (Xavier was 3-0-4 coming into game

Pitt 3  NC State 1

    poor Ohio State dropped to 1-6-2 with a 3-1 loss to Michigan

    In big 10 play , IU def. NW 2-1 and MD def. Rutgers 2-0

     St. Marys improved to 10-0-0 with a 1-0 win over New Mexico

one player in college has already scored 19 goals in 9 games (and his team is not playing cupcakes)...thought this article might interest some other readers

as Zips fans of the great 2009 team know, it is very hard to go thru a year with 0 losses and 0 ties...Wake Forest and St. Marys are mentioned in article below

early scores from Friday night

Notre Dame shows as 6 right now in rpi after a 1-0 win over Boston College

NC State moves up from #21 to #18 in rpi after a 2-2 tie with #3 rpi Louisville

Pitt is now 50 in RPI after a 2-0 loss to #7 RPI Virginia

   Syracuse is currently showing as 11 in RPI after their OT loss to VA Tech (VT moves from 10 to 8)

      not a zip opponent...but. perennial power N. Carolina moves to 3-0 in ACC and moves up to 5 RPI after 2-0 win over Clemson

 

Seattle , Grand Canyon and N. Illinois all have games later tonight

Creighton improves to 7-1-1 with a 1-0 win over Seton Hall

   Creighton is currently 13 in RPI....October 16 is another big game for the zips

Butler drops to 2-6-1 with a 2-0 loss to St. Johns

Iona 4  Canisius 1

Bowling Green is 2-5-2 after 2-1 win over Valparaiso

SIUE is now 6-1-2 after 2-0 win over Belmont...SIUE is 44 in rpi

West Virginia is now 6-4-0  after 2-0 win over Delaware...WVU is 85 in rpi

Early Sunday games

Michigan State lost their first game..they are now 8-1-2 after a 1-0 loss to Wisconsin (now 5-4-1)

  Mich. state is currently 33 in rpi

Seattle improved to 8-3-0 with a 5-2 win over Houston Baptist

  Seattle is current 38 in rpi

      in big ten play...Ohio State dropped to 1-7-2 with a 3-2 OT loss to Rutgers (Rutgers had been 1-6-1 before this game)

Western Michigan is now 6-4-1 after a 1-1 tie with Pacific (Pacific is now 6-2-2 with their highlight of the year being a win over Stanford)

  WMU is now 67 in rpi ; pacific, despite their impressive record, is only 74  (unrelated...Stanford at 4-1-3 is only 54 in rpi ...before their night game with #35 UCLA)

   Grand Canyon...plays later tonight
