averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 0.85 assists, and 12.4 minutes per game…

seriously, what does he do for us?

Not to mention he's 4" too short by your standards. SEND HIM TO DIII WHERE HE BELONGS! :thumb:

In all seriousness, the kid is coming from one of the most disciplined programs in the country. At the very least, he's going to be fundamentally sound, with big game experience. I like it.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the sit one year to play one year players. I'd much rather get a grad transfer who can play right away or a player with multiple years of eligibility left.

That being said, I think he should be a productive player in the MAC. He has good size and athleticism. From what I read he's a defensive specialist. I would expect his offensive numbers to improve some playing against MAC competition instead of B10. How much they will improve is to be seen.

Agreed in most circumstances. However, I look at these one-and-done's like assistant coach/players, especially when they're coming from disciplined, top-flight programs such as Iowa. When we have as many roster openings as we're going to have in 2 seasons, we're gonna need a guy like Dailey.

Local kid, had a couple of big games (Colorado, Michigan State). Played in 33 and 35 games the last two seasons. I'll take him. Being a Hawkeye fan I know he was buried behind a senior and a sophomore (coaches son) last two years. Iowa also has a couple of redshirts coming back next year.

I am not big on another transfer coming to the school for just one season.  Groce has a revolving door of players.  This year we had 2 scholarships that were wasted on transfers, Hester and the guy that punched out Klac.  ( I cannot remember his name)  I would much rather Groce try to build a team with frosh.    He has 3 years left to prove that he can build a winning program.

I agree 100%. Two wasted years and still only two D1 players, one of whom is good but his nickname is "shorty".

I will forfeit next year if he would dump what we have and recruit some freshmen with room to grow.

Dailey was good enough to be a consistent rotation player at Iowa, but he isn't a D1 caliber player?
