I quite often see the offense get all set to run the play only to, in unison, check up and look to the sideline. Never noticed the entire coaching staff pointing to the end zone. Cue the meme ...

"What's that area down there on the end of the field with no hash marks?"  "How come we don't get to play in there?"  "Why do only other teams get to go in there?"

I know everyone likes to hold up Solich as the Gold Standard, but how many offers from bug schools has he had in the past 5 to 10 years, after solid performance seasons?  I know his age is a factor now, but does anyone remember the last time his name came up in a serious discussion about moving on to a "bigger" program?

With the development of Viagra Frank presents a risk no P5 school appears willing to assume.

Getting bad now when we have to explain our use of levity in our posts, huh? ?

Unfortunately we are the worst team in D1 until we prove we aren't. I am not against this coach and staff but they have to prove to me that 1) they can recruit, 2) they can coach and 3) they can win. Until all three all done I am a skeptic who wants to be optimistic , but has no proven reason to be so.

I wonder if this coaching staff ever considered Bubba Arslanian at RB this year. With all the transfers and injuries at this position, I would have given him a look. Could he have bulled his way to 4.0 yards a carry. I think the probability is high. 2020?

Thought same about Boogie as he went to Ohio State as a RB and tore his ACL & then changed positions

I could have sworn that Bubba carried the ball in 2018, but went back and checked season stats and no record of an attempt.  Maybe it was the Spring game that year.  But your point is taken.

Gotta have a big back who can run behind a competent O-line. I am still old enough to believe that a team in the MAC still needs a running game capable of getting 100 yards week in and week out. Used to drive me crazy how much they ran the ball in the 70's under Dennison. BUT,while I know this is not the '70's teams still have to be able to have a credible run threat no matter the QB. Makes life much easier for any O-line. Don't know if they have a RB on this roster but they need to get one.

Apparently Buffalo believes what you say about running backs.  It keeps their QB from throwing as much as I would like to see, but it certainly puts them in a good position with the big winds for the Bahamas Bowl.

Commending comments from a player who has many excuses to sulk. A player who transferred from a program that had the biggest turnaround in the country right after he left, played on an 0-12 team, was kicked out of a game and reprimanded on TV by the coach (the horror ?). I do believe Arth has been a culture changer off the field. Let's hope we are really building something here and the change also comes on the field sooner rather than later!

I'm hopeful that next season there will be numerous teams worser than the Zips.

Others agree with me as we come in 125 in the first preseason rankings!!

Edit: *Me looking at the rankings and seeing there are 3 teams on our schedule who are ranked worse than us.*

Some have trashed this coaching staff, but in just a year and 2 months since they've been here, we have had 4 assistants move on to better opportunities - Kevin Koger (Packers), Shelton Felton (Tennessee), Jonathan Cooley (Rams), and Davern Williams (Troy). Seemed like Shelton Felton had some good GA recruiting connections.

In all of Bowden's years, I only remember one coach moving on to better opportunities - Terrell Buckley (Louisville).
