The Crew don't play the LA Galaxy at all this year...so, no chance to see Perry Kitchen in Columbus during the regular season MLS matches, unfortunately.

...98 games in the Premier League puts DeAndre Yedlin on the verge of joining a select group of Americans to have achieved the century mark in the English Premier League. Only three other field players besides DeAndre have started more than 30 games in a season (Geoff Cameron, Clint Dempsey x2 and Brian McBride x2).  ...

... To me it is unreal how undervalued his accomplishments are. Regardless, he’ll continue to be a polarizing figure for his country. He’s a great player and with Reggie Cannon and Sergiño Dest pushing him at the right back position for the national team will be challenged for years to come. For club he’s battled for his career and doing some amazing things in the top flight league in the world. Cheers to DeAndre Yedlin as he hopefully rings in the new year with a century in the Premier League.

Since it is December 26th, and we're talking International Leagues - Happy Boxing Day to All the Zips SOC fans!  Watching Chelsea v. Southampton right now, looking forward to Man U and Yedlin's Newcastle with my leftover lunch feast, and wash it all down this afternoon as my fellow Kopites and I gather for a pint to watch our beloved Liverpool duel it out in a first v. second match-up with Leicester City.  What a GLORIOUS Day it is/will be.....

Curious ...  Michael Obafemi's goal, Chelsea (no Zips), Southampton (no Zips) are related to the Zips in Pro Leagues how???

Lest the writer forgets, 4+ years ago Caleb and Darlington won an MLS Cup together in Columbus for the Portland TimberFC. Let's get that MLS Cup for Columbus now!

The first 2 rounds of the MLS draft occurred today.

Tom Smart was selected as the 19th pick in the 2nd round (45th overall) by the LA Galaxy.

Rounds 3 and 4 of the draft will occur on Monday the 13th

Zips have had players drafted(or signed as homegrowns) in every draft since the 2008 MLS draft

this article has very complimentary words about one of the hardest working young men to ever wear a zips uniform

I am rooting for this former zip .....to be drafted on Monday

I am very optimistic about the Crew in 2020.

It would really speak highly of D-Nag's talent and skill.....if he was part of a MLS champ for 3 different teams

not to mention CP......being the head coach for 2 different teams

the best quote from article:

It’s sad, but it’s part of the sport. We were so lucky to have him on our club.   He literally is most of us in the stadium, just a kid from Columbus. I know he’s been looking to make that next step in his career for quite some time now and I hope this takes him to that next step overseas. I know the term “class act” gets tossed around in sports quite a bit but he is the bar, in fact the classiest act. He has heart, loves this city, a leader in and out of the locker room, and beyond genuine. I wish him all the best and look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes. We love ya Wil.
