Blue & Gold 1,928 Report post Posted Thursday at 01:14 AM Whew. Tough schedule. I find it odd that we finish up with two teams from the West Division of the MAC in Toledo & WMU.

No particular order other than the set contracted OOC games at the top...which should state September, not November.
LZIp 1,941 Report post Posted Thursday at 01:49 AM For real..they couldn't lend us a hand and give us NIU and/or EMU?? We literally drew the top 3 teams in the West.
bigjim 99 Report post Posted Thursday at 02:23 AM Tough schedule. I had been saying the Zips will win 4-5 games in 2021, but I was not expecting this schedule. I still say 3-4 wins and keep my projection for 9 wins in 2022.

GP1 224 Report post Posted Thursday at 03:00 PM Thanks for the reminder of why I don't enjoy talking about this team anymore. This is a terrible ooc schedule. Two destruction games. I had no idea Bryant even had a team. Temple is one of the least interesting teams in college football.

NWAkron 1,121 Report post Posted Thursday at 03:57 PM That schedule is worth $4million? Maybe 5?
Captain Kangaroo 2,141 Report post Posted Thursday at 04:19 PM There are some years when the Zips can handle an OOC schedule like this, and 2021 isn't it. If in 2020 we surrendered 70 points to Kent State, and only threw for 87 against Bowling Green, I can't imagine how uncompetitive these games will be.

Well, at least we play Bryant. 😉
clarkwgriswold 2,240 Report post Posted Thursday at 07:49 PM Are we sure that's not Bryant & Stratton? Bryant is going to get in a lot of football this year as they are playing a spring season.

First, given how much money OSU and Auburn make, we are being grossly underpaid. This is a symbol of athletic director incompetence. Second, when the conversation becomes money vs putting on an event where students, alumni, fans and the general Akron community can enjoy a game, and money wins, I'm not interested.
