Western Michigan just released their schedule yesterday

they explain the MAC format.....like this

The Broncos will host five games, all during Mid-American Conference play. Due to the impacts of COVID-19 there will be no MAC Tournament this season. The automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament will be given to the regular season champion, with each team playing each other home and away throughout.

WMU shows as playing at Akron......Monday March 22 at 4 pm

Akron must have a basketball game scheduled on March 21 ????...as the MAC said that all soccer games would be on sunday and wednesday

March 21 is after the end of regular season basketball.

Perhaps a baseball game. Baseball and soccer cannot be played at the same time due to the proximity and possibility of foul balls entering the soccer stadium.

Would be very interested in finding out which other conferences are planning to compete in the spring, after the Big West preemptively canceled all their fall sports for the year.  How about women's soccer?  And will any other sports revert to spring (e.g., volleyball)?

Would make for an interesting "double header".

If this works out and becomes the new norm, the playoffs could be played in nice weather, and the College Cup could be played anywhere there was a reasonable bid.
