  1. Huskie fan here. First off, congratulations on winning the MAC East. I thinks it's great that tonight's championship game has some new faces for a change. I hope your program continues to improve. Hopefully not as looooooooooong as it took Northern's to turn around. Now as far as tonight's game is concerned, I'm probably one of the very few Huskie fans who believes that this game will be much, MUCH closer than many think. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this is another nailbiter going into overtime. I think our defense has improved since our last meeting. We'll see if they can do a better job this time, but I don't know. Obviously the biggest difference is that we have Nicholson at QB instead of Horvath. Any differences with the Zips now compared to our last meeting? Always fun to speculate on stuff like this. Here's to another thriller tonight (how about a dozen overtimes!) and may the best team win!! May the winner represent the MAC well in the MCB!! No matter who wins tonight, I hope that somehow both teams are able to play in the post-season!! Good luck...well, not really...but you know what I mean. GO MAC!!!
  2. Hi everyone, Huskie fan here. I, and a few others, think this game is going to be closer than many think. Yes, we do have a good OL along with Wolfe and Harris. One of our OL, Doug Free, has had some talk about being a possible first round draft pick. I hope it is not after this season since he is a junior! Wolfe has a minor shoulder problem, but I think it is from last year. He is expected to play this Saturday. There is a lot of talk about our QB Phil Horvath, and whether or not he is doing a good job. Some are hoping to see more of our backup, Britt Davis. He is a mobile type of QB and he will probably get the starting job in a few years. But right now, it is Phil and from what I have seen, I have no complaints. The complaints I do have come from the defense. Taking away the performance against 1AA Tennessee Tech, the defense leaves much to be desired. Against Michigan and Northwestern, there was no pressure on their QB and so far no sacks, nor did we stop them on almost all of their drives. Not to mention the fact that we seemed to not know how to tackle. Our best LB is gone for the year, thus making our young D even younger. Perhaps in a year or two this D will get better, but I don't know. It will be interesting to see how we do in conference play. Hopefully they are quick learners, or we will be in trouble. I'm not sure how many Huskie fans will be there. I hope it is a sell-out for your home opener. With the way Miami and Bowling Green have performed, you may win the East. Here's to an exciting, injury-free game this Saturday!!
