The potential to draw at Akron looks pretty big. Isn't the all time record crowd something like 43,000 in the rubber bowl?

There is a superiority complex out there by Miami and OU. Miami feels they are superior to everyone because they have higher admission standards for freshman than other MAC schools. I know Miami band members who taunt opposing MAC schools as "Open Admissions". To be honest, that is the only thing Miami has going for it. The OU superiority complex is the result of many of our students being from the Akron area. It is pretty clear that OU has the better college town and stadium than Akron and Can't. With Can't and Akron (until this year) not playing for the the post season, OU fans expect to beat those two schools in football and if they don't the situation is pretty pathetic. Outsiders to OU view bobcat football as being on par with Buffalo or Can't State because they don't have the wins, but OU people believe we are an underperforming Miami and are baffled by our inability to win.

Exactly, which is what makes the arrest of a 56 year old college football coach even more funny. At least you gave up years ago. He's too dumb to stop. He is 61 years old. FYI, Solich has a reputation for not drinking so I until all the facts are out surrounding this incident its not worth speculating. The incident might have been the result of medication, not booze. I think its funny how MAC fans are upset at how Marshall degraded the MAC for low attendance numbers, yet when one of their own who struggles for attendance (Akron) wins the division.......they make a huge deal about how the Zips won't support the MACC and be a nightmare for the bowl selection committee. Hypocrisy at its finest. Its great that the MACC finally has some new blood, and to be honest it doesn't really matter how many fans Akron takes to Detroit. The idea behind Ford Field is the venue. Let's say Akron wins the MACC and is selected by the GMAC bowl. Why not? Nobody else from the MAC would take more than a thousand anyway down to Mobile. I've been telling everyone in the MAC that Akron is the team of the future. As usual, I'm right again as Akron wins the MACC despite replacing Charlie Frye. Those who think BG and Miami have the talent of OSU and Michigan and will rule the division forever are morons, plain and simple.
