Hey guys I hope every one had a great Christmas. I wanted to hoop on here and thank you guys for all of your support through out the Capital one season. I know you guys want me to bring you results but even I have no idea who won. In my heart I believe that there was one team and one nation better than the rest... I think you all know who that is. I am heading to New Orleans for a little get away to turn the page and start fresh in 08. I am truly blessed to have great fans like you the zips fans. I am going to find a bar on bourbon street and turn it into a zips bar. I have my Akron gear packed and ready to go. Like most of you I have been on pins and needles to find out the results. Should we win... who Iam I kidding when we win I have some ideas to keep this push going for a bit. I will sit down and see what can be done with the higher ups. There's one thing that is certain when we bring this thing back to Akron, I will remember that this is your title each and every one of you worked hard for it. I will work with that in mind the whole time We are nothing with out you are dear fans. Don't flip out if you don't hear about anything right of the back... I won't be home till the 10t h of January. 13 weeks of blood sweet and tears and near heart atacks comes down to this. So I ask the simple question Who's up for winning a national title today? This is it ... we need to go in with the mind frame were down by 350 votes and we need 351 to win and only have less than 3:1/2 hours to do it. Trust me brother calls have been put in through out this whole contest and heavily this week. You have to remember that this is finals week and zippy does have to show up and take these. I know that is hard to believe but it does happen. We must also take care of the stations that have been there since day one. If you have any leads for us I am looking for a Monday angle to get us involved with. Also the campaign is more than just tv Its positive press of any kind. The team is working very hard on all aspects of this campaign. I would be glad to hear the thoughts and ideas for which stations you want us on.Thanks for your support

Ok people were off to a good start( so I think) to the week but as you all know we shine in the later part of the week. If were going to get this mission done we need to step up our game right now. Every day we need to get new people on board and keep pushing to the top. I need to know who is going to do what on Monday morning. We all know that is our strongest day--- I want you all to think were down by 400 votes going to 5:00 Am Monday. We all need to take huge responsibilities that day. It makes no sence if were all calling the same radio stations/tv stations/ at the same time. So i need people to call radio stations and tv stations every half an hour from 6:00 on. Email me on here if you have any ideas on what can be done. I am going to work on the web campaign today and calling some radio stations in the warren Youngstown area today. If some 1 is bored and wants to call a few stations in akron today that would be great. The guys back at school are going to be doing some on campuass work. Dear Zips Nation,First before I start let me thank each of you for your hard work on this campaign to date. It has been a true blessing seeing how far we have came and the unbelievable support we have received. We have all worked very hard to get to this point but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to seal the deal. Next I need to remind each of you why Zippy was picked to be Akron's mascot. The student government in 1953 felt a kangaroo would be a good fit for this fine university because it had speed power and an undying amount of determination. I want you all to remember that these next 2 weeks when this campaign isn't personally convent for you. We started on a mission 12 weeks ago to be the best mascot in the nation and we are two weeks away from achieving that goal. We did not come this far to lose now. We came to win this thing and you know what were going to do just that. I don't want to hear the excuse that we went 11-0 and made a name for our self's and that is a pretty good thing, Right? That may be a good policy some where else but not here in Akron. No one remembers the guy/ the team who came in second.. They only remember the champ. The only way we make a name for our self's is by winning and playing like a champion today. Do we all have 10 million problems and a billion deadlines to meet... yes but think how fun it will be knowing you were the reason The Akron Zips won the first National Championship of 2008. We have a lot to be proud of and I am so very thankfully for fans like you. It's Time Zips Nation to come together and start voting. Every vote counts & one vote could send us home. Ok guys so here we go its playoff times we need every 1 on board Let me break this down just so every 1 is clear This week zippy is not in action that's because the roo got the number 1 seed and a bye to the semifinals Zippy will face the winner of Otto and cav manOk lets look at the numbersBack in week one we took home 38195 votes cav man had 33688 that's a difference of 4,507 votesHere's the thing with that this will turn into a huge rivalry because its going to be the battle of the athletics departments If you recall our main players in the athletics departments came from the UV and are now running the show in the AK ..booth teams will want to make a huge name for them self's ..... PS they wont be showing the total vote count for each week so we are going to have to take care of things and get the job doneWe came out of the gates in week 1 strong with 38195 votes but in week 10 we only had 27621 that's a difference of 10,574 votes we need to get this support back if were going to win this thingNow if we vote for Otto the vote count in week 3 was 41459 for us 40692 for good old otto that's a difference of 767 a bit closer of a race. Things to remember here Otto has been here last year and didn't leave with a ring which means he would do anything to get one this time aroundOr do we go with plan c vote for none of them ..we have beat each of these mascots before so we know we can beat them again..we also own the greatest voting power so our votes can make or break for some of these mascots then comes the fact who we have on our side. If we vote for one now and for some reason they go out maybe they will help us out. No one wants us to win this thing that's why we must come together. We can't' let our fait lie in anyone's hands but our own.In other action hairy dog gets the second bye and will take on the winner of goldy and cocky . I think we should rank them and let me know who you guys think is the biggest threats( even though any of these other 5 are just as strong)so we can get them out earlyLots of angles to think about But as always I am going to leave it in your handsDid you guys see that bob Dylan said on his radio show zippy was his favorite college mascot ..... hummmm could be a market for some votes Thanks and go zips

Ok you guys have been great to me to this point and I love you all dearly 4 it but We didn't come this far to take a week 11 loss. We need to go into the playoffs knowing that we can beat every mascot out there. We can't give any 1 hopes that they can beat us. The votes in the past weeks have been way down which worries me going into the playoffs. We need to get the power and momentum back on our side. The way I see it We are 4 weeks from being the 2007 Mascot of the year.... Now nice does that sound???We have already got some love by the nation and respect by capital one ... word on the street was that they weren't going to make a 4th commercial but then they realized how well zippy was doing.This is our year and we are going to bring something great back to OhioThis week is tell 10 friends weekThanks for your hard work and Go Zips

Thank you all for all your hard work 8-0 is quite an amassing thing. I am very proud of you all. I know you guys love winning and you won't be happy till we are 14-0 or 13-0 due to the bye.
