I'm sorry Middle Tennessee was a power in the tournament. They won only one NCAA Tourney game in the '80's. I guess that compares with a Sweet 16 and an Elite 8. You can't compare the OVC to the MAC. The MAC is rated 15th this year and the OVC is rated 23rd out of 32. The OVC did suck and continues to suck. I was just pointing out that you lost a good coach who did a good job in a tough league with near bottom of the league support.

Over a 3 year period from 1998-2000, Akron was the winningest program in the MAC (36-18). You think CC could have done that? He could barely win a game in the MAC. ..... before writing the crap! Did I upset you ? Relax big fella, it's only an opinion. You are correct though, Murray State beating Kentucky in '82 and Florida State in '89 was tougher than competing with teams that went to the Sweet 16 (Miami of Ohio) and Elite 8 (Can't STATE). 10 teams might kill for a player or two (Turner Battle), but not the whole team. Be real.

Hipsher brought credibility to a down program. He did not perform well in the MAC Tournament but Akron had never been in a MAC Tourney game before he got to Akron. Huggins won in the lowly Ohio Valley Conference. Face the facts Zips Fan's Akron and Buffalo are the armpit of the MAC. The Rubber Bowl and The JAR are 2nd rate facilities.

You hope MT sticks around. MT just made Akron the joke of the MAC. Akron just passed Buffalo as the worst school, administration, staff in the MAC.
