  1. Obviously our defense sucks.. the 3-3-5 is not workin out.. but that is why you need a competent DC.. i just dont think that right now you can hope to win the MAC without a spread offense that can move the ball and put the defense in bad situations. especially out of conference games. if we ever want to beat a BCS school its not going to be becasue we have better players. its gonne be because we can move the ball and score tds. just like CMU is doing right now. most of the MAC is spread right now.
  2. One more thing wilth Molnar is that if kelly leaves cincy for ND or wherever theres gonna be a shakeup within the program. Maybe some recruits will decommint and find a home at UA. Probaly wouldnt take them to nd with him. and maybe bring a couple assistants with him. good to have guys that know how to win and have done it on this level.
  3. Next year the irish are playing western michigan... the first mac team to ever get the chance to play ND. hopefully the mac can win some respect there and will open the door for a few others to play them as well.. especially since notre dame is paying nearly 1 million dollars to wmu to come to south bend..
  4. and yeah walt harris is making around 75000 per yer. its through that link on usa today.
  5. What about Charley Molnar?? Cincinnati wr coach and pass game coordinator? has NEO ties was the OC at Can't state in the late 90's and had a very powerful offense there.. would be a big hire within ohio to provide instant stabilty and recruiting...
  6. Yeah I know.... By the Brian Kelly reference i just meant i dont necessarily think it would be bad to have a coach come in thinking he wants to win and move on. If he can build the program up to the point that were gonna win a mac championship and than he leaves. so be it.
  7. I like the idea of a coordinator from a BCS/Top 10 program. Someone who is going to jump in right away and make a difference. In every aspect; talent, coaching, energy, hard work and discipline. I wouldnt even care if the guy was looking to come in and win and be out in 3 years. If he can quickly build the base of our program someone else can and will sustain it. I wouldnt mind having the next Brian Kelly. Central is still doing pretty well even after he left. Because the kids are confident in what they do and know it works. One big thing for me additionaly would be that the guy had NEO ties. Having some "ins" on recruiting will surely help. There is easily enough talent in Ohio alone to stock a MAC team.A coordinator coming from a BCS school is going to bring the assistants as his coordinatos. These guys will be young and fiery and give our program a shot of adrenaline.
